1157 Chapel St, New Haven“I stayed at The Omni, The Graduate, and the New Haven Hotel before. All of them had larger, and more appointed rooms, but The Study wasn't bad. Just a bit more spartan, is all.The mattress, bedding, and bathroom amenities were all very nice. And I loved that the work area is large, taking up the whole area under the window, and has a great desk pad (that's not a freaking glass or clear plastic) that your mouse will actually work on.The lobby is very comfortable and inviting, and the restaurant was superb!I'd come back again, for sure!Rooms: Smaller than usual. Similar to NYC in size.Walkability: Walking distance (15-20 minutes) from Yale SOMFood & drinks: Excellent restaurant in the lobby”

9 High St, New Haven“We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Blake Hotel in New Haven, and it has swiftly ascended into our top 5 favorite accommodations, a prestigious list that includes the likes of the Ranahan in Breckenridge CO, the Four Seasons in Celebration FL, and the Tennessean in Knoxville. Upon our arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the valet service, who exemplified courtesy by opening the door for my wife and swiftly unloading our luggage from the rental car. The lobby greeted us with its immaculate cleanliness, and the check-in process was remarkably swift. Our room was located on the fourth floor, a king luxury suite that was notably spacious, encompassing a small kitchenette, living area, and dining space in an open but comfortably vast layout. The bathroom, featuring a single sink, was adequately sized for both my wife and me to prepare for our days. Furthermore, the bedroom was so spacious that even with our luggage, the room felt amply large. If there was any minor quibble, it would be that the floors and ceilings seemed a tad thin. My footsteps echoed, and the sound of guests above us was noticeable, but this is to be expected in a hotel setting as opposed to an Airbnb, making it a negligible issue. However, on an intriguing note, during our 5-night stay, we received a call from the front desk just three minutes after entering our room on the last night concerning a noise complaint. I explained that we had just arrived and mentioned our 8-year-old with Down syndrome was simply walking around the room, to which they responded with understanding and advised us to continue with our evening without worry. Later, around 10 p.m., after my son got out and then back into bed, another complaint was lodged by the guests below us about supposed running and jumping. I reassured the attendant that we were merely walking and humorously suggested that the complainer, seeking utter solitude, perhaps ought to have opted for a cabin in the woods instead. The attendant, sharing in the light-hearted moment, informed us they were obligated to make the call but encouraged us to disregard it. It's empathetic to acknowledge the staff's position in dealing with such difficult complaints. Overall, the hotel was magnificent, the staff exceptional in ensuring our stay was memorable, and we would unequivocally choose to stay here again!”

“Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was courteous and super friendly. A special shoutout to Rogel and Jarrell for their assistance. Breakfast was complimentary and definitely on the higher quality side. I particularly enjoyed the indoor spa and the 24-hour access to the fitness room (I have a crazy schedule). The location couldn't be more perfect. Will be staying again in the future.”

50 Rowe Ave, Milford“Was supposed to catch Dionne Warwick in Bridgeport on Saturday but she canceled at the last minute due to a medical issue (she's 82). So a night of dining in Milford and a night at this hotel. Quite roomy and surprisingly quiet considering it's right next to one of the most traveled highways in the Northeast (I-95). It served its purpose... nice staff.”

155 Temple St, New Haven“Omni New Haven Hotel at Yale is one of many that you can remember as a unique place, maybe because of the location, maybe because of the people working there there, maybe because of the experience and memories and maybe because all of those things that we will remember until we come back to it.
Noteworthy details: Relaxing sauna experience”

201 Washington Ave, North Haven“We left a filthy hotel and came to this Best Western at 11:00 at night. I could tell immediately after walking into the lobby that we were going to have a much better experience! It was clean and modern and didn't smell like smoke. Our room was clean, modern, and comfortable, and the continental breakfast was great. We only had one minor issue. My son found a stain on the comforter on the bed, (they don't use duvet covers,) and refused to sleep under it, so we put it on the floor. I took pictures and showed the front desk clerk the next morning. A manager reached out to us and refunded 50% of our stay. I thought that was reasonable. We would definitely stay here again!”

219 Woodmont Rd, Milford“Only complaints i have are the rude lady at night behind the desk and the rock hard beds. Besides that it’s affordable/get what ya pay for. However it is convenient with pilot, Wendy’s, Dunkin, crackle barrel all right there and minutes away from Walmart, stop and shop and the mall. They even have some snacks you can purchase at front desk.”
“Stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in Shelton Connecticut. I travel a lot for work and staying in Connecticut and visit family and friends on Connecticut as well. I have stayed in every hotel in the Shelton area and I can tell you the Hilton Garden Inn by far is the best. It’s the cleanest. The staff is wonderful. I had a disability and they were always there to help me. I never had to worry or be anxious that I would not be able to get my mobility scooter in and out of my car, the hotel is immaculate. The rooms are very nice. The price is extremely reasonable and the staff all the way from the front desk through maintenance the staff and the restaurant the front desk. Everyone is wonderful and very accommodating. It is well worth the money. it is beautiful place to stay and makes you feel like family, especially when you’re traveling alone. You definitely do not feel alone. You feel like you have an army of people to help you and it’s wonderful .”

129 Plains Rd, Milford“The main appeal of this place is the location and cost. Our room was clean but some guests must have smoked something in the hallways. This place is adjacent to I95 so it was easy to get on and off the highway. Will most likely stay again in the future.”

“Really the star lost is that the “continental breakfast” is coffee. That’s it. There was an unopened box of packets of oatmeal and tea but for the love of Pete, at least open the box. There were also rapidly decaying apples. Also the room bathroom only had shampoo and “face soap.” No lotion, no conditioner, no body soap (though I get that’s ridiculous and is the same as the face soap). Otherwise, the room was clean, the staff was helpful and professional, and it was everything I needed. Walked from and to the train station and was super easy. Grocery, pharmacy and liquor store all nearby and walking distance. Perfect.”
“So yes, this is your standard hop off the highway Best Western, and the only reason I stayed here is that it was just about half way on a long trip. But, it was much better than I expected. A friendly and easy check in, and though it appeared that only 1 elevator was running, it is the fastest elevator I've ever seen. Room and bathroom were clean, the little refridgerator even had a freezer, so my waters where good and cold for the next day's trip. But really, it was the breakfast that got my attention. Sure, it's your standard motel breakfast, but everything was really done well. Good coffee, Oranges, bananas, and apples, Scrambled eggs and sausage, and homefries, and pancakes. Little fruit cups, hard boiled eggs, cereal and hot oatmeal. The Waffle maker had two kinds of fruit sauce and whipped cream. But the best part were the baked goods. Nothing pre-wrapped, Donuts, apple turnovers, Danish, muffins, bagels, breads, oh, and look over there, another kind of raspberry tart. The details were all there, someone was paying attention. I don't have a reason to go there again, but maybe I can make one up.”
