I made a special trip to pick up Caviar, Brie and Canned Mincemeat for Pie. Worker Bees (5 of them) asked re Caviar and Canned Mincemeat had no clue what either was. As to the Brie, I found it, but neglected to check the use by date. When I got home and looked, it expires 12/9; today is 12/3!! I wanted it for XMAS! For cheese of this kind, one expects it to at least have a 30 day use by date in a store of this caliber. To top it off, the Auto Check Out Machine I used broke down mid check out. I will never go back to the Store!

As a grocery store, Whole Foods used to be much better before Amazon took over. Our recent experiences are clear indicators that this change has resulted in a reduction in quality and a shift to profit over customer satisfaction. Many things that attracted us to Whole Foods are now degraded. Examples are the reduction of the dining area, a reduction in bakery selections and fairly dramatic increases in the cost of fresh bakery items like cookies, cakes and fresh breads. Also, the holiday catering service has declined in quality. Today, we picked up our “cooked” turkey dinner only to find that the turkey was frozen. Yes, cooked but frozen solid requiring days in the fridge to thaw. Quicker thawing took as long as cooking a fresh turkey would have taken. Ridiculous. Completely negates the whole point of catering. For Christmas, we will cook our own purchased fresh turkey and save some time!

It is so crowded in this WF its difficult sometimes to get parking, and its difficult to walk down the isles and check out. Wouldnt be so bad if people(other cutomers) were more civil and polite but they are rude, pushy and obnoxious. I have been yelled at harassed by other customers on two occasions; one in the store and one man in his sixties trying to threaten and intimidate me in the parking lot. Its just not worth the headache. Go to WF Corbin's Corner or anywhere else.

Overpriced, very crowded, obnoxious customers (too good to wait their turn). Parkling is terrible. Better off going to another location

It's difficult to find good help these days in CT. That's evident by shopping here. I've noticed the quality of staff has decreased to the point it's rivaling discount stores in terms of helpfulness and urgency. Cashiers aren't very friendly anymore, they're not efficient, and they're not engaged with the shopper (they're engaged, however, with their partner who is supposed to be bagging). We love the hot food bar and the salad bar. I love the pizza. We find good products here, but can find many of them on Amazon or at Costco for much less. Be that as it may, this is a good place to grab an Amazon product if you don't want to wait the 24-48 hours for shipment (if they can find the keys to the display). Decidedly average shopping experience now...it used to be outstanding. I thought Amazon's purchase of WF was going to retain high quality hiring.

They definitely improved the store from the last visit I made. They rearranged a lot of things and everything looks so good today. The meat department, the fruits and vegetables and even the" hot bar" had me buying extra today . Today I purchased macaroni and cheese, collard greens and pulled pork from the hot bar (8.99 pound ) pretty expensive a small bowl cost me $6. I reheated it later and it was delicious. I also brought some purple sweet potatoes (1.99 pd).

I hadn't found my surface street route to West Hartford until yesterday--and while I was in the neighbord, figured I might as well see what has happened to Whole Foods since Amazon. I was delighted. So many choice. So fresh. So colorful. So healthful--for the most part--except for the inevitable Canola found in almost anything packaged--but less here. I purchased some honey cashews, pancetta (hard to find), dragon fruit (which I have NEVER found anywhere else before), and passion fruit. Thanks Amazon for maintaining the quality, while offering everyday, affordable prices on exotic and wonderful produce.

We've been here since day one:))))) Me and my family started to go here in 2013 and still love this Whole Foods:)))) I remember one time when I was 7 and my brother went to the makeup section and decided to paint my face! My mom and dad got so mad!!! But it was so funny!!!! I also remember one day I accidentally dropped a glass water bottle on the ground and the workers cleaned it up I thought I was going to have to pay for it but they said don't worry we have it all! So shocking!!!! This is the best Whole Foods in West Hartford Connecticut!!!! This is such a good store to go to:))))

On a whim I decided to stop in and check this place out. WOW!!! The food was fresh, staff extremely friendly, and the place was packed and they have people everywhere to assist you. Very nice store.

Don't listen to those reviews. My family and I have been loyal to multiple Whole Foods across New England for over 12 years and never had any issues. In fact, Whole Foods is squeaky clean and perfectly maintained. I go purchase food from their buffets when I am on the go and Whole Foods will always be my go-to for a quick lunch. They keep the buffets clean and the food is always fresh. Some people say that they're expensive and yes, but only with certain products. I say it's worth though. In fact I spend less money there than Shop Rite or Stop and Shop. I'm a vegan and I've never seen such a large selection of vegan and cruelty- free products! I totally recommend Whole Foods and I will still shop at Whole Foods for as long as I'm able! 2 thumbs up!

I have been shopping here for years and every single experience has been positive! It's my go-to stop when I don't know what to have for dinner-their prepared food section has something for everyone! Cold bar, hot bar, pizza, soups, sushi....the store itself is beautifully merchandised and clean. The butchers, the staff in the fish section and the deli are all friendly and helpful with great suggestions. The staff are friendly, helpful and don't just point you in a direction but actually walk you there. They have the best selection in the bulk items...many in both organic and conventional-same with the produce. The florist area is simply beautiful! Prices aren't the lowest but it's totally worth it if you're looking for quality versus quantity.
