Horrible experience, they have no customer service skills and are terribly mean to the customers!! My dad went there today at 9:30 for an oil change, and doesn’t speak fluent English, the guy doing the oil change started yelling at him and wouldn’t let him talk. My dad got nervous and couldn’t understand him, there’s no reason for them to yell at a paying customer. Never going back there

1 star as they attempt to up their sales by telling customers they need services that they Do Not Need.I went to Park Road location to get an oil change.Gentleman told me I was extremely low on Transmission Fluid and proceeded to explain how I can blow my engine AND that I needed to get any residual fluid flushed at the cost of $130 on top of the oil change … they almost got me but something told me to call my mechanic and get his opinion.I continued with the oil change and immediately drove to my mechanic so he could see what was going on.I DID NOT NEED ANY TRANSMISSION FLUID IT WAS AT THE NORMAL LEVELI would have chalked this up as just trying to take advantage of a seemingly naïve older woman BUTI mentioned this to my son later on that night. He was there almost 2 months ago for an oil change. They told him he had no oil and that it needed to be flushed at the cost of $180!!!He HAD oilHe refused the flush serviceIt seemed as though this location pushed services customers don’t need.I’m sure a good investigative reporter could get the proper attention this behavior deserves.Maybe I’ll make a call

it was my first time going to this place and they didn't take long in changing my oil like in other places that they take for ever in changing the oil is A+++ and I will be going more often;)

Horrible experience overall. Aggressive and combative staff. Started doing expensive, unnecessary services without asking for approval and got in my face when I asked them to stop. Careless and negligent with my car.

Attention !!! Warning to everyone that goes to this establishment not everyone is certified to do maintenance on your vehicle. Be aware of the employees that are working also to the managers working at this facility who are not taking accountability for the action of their workers in base of my experience 0/0 these workers do not have any credential or any schooling for automobile services that is required by law in the state of Hartford Connecticut.I personally took my vehicle for service due to my brake light not working on the right side or the left I was told by one of their employee that they provide this kind of service for a fee of 20 dollars each if I provided the light i said it was fine. I went to my local Autozone and bought the lights that I need I enter the facility to the second bay and two of their employee started to take out one of tail light mind you I was looking at the back and I knew something was wrong he was holding something in his hand but never once I thought that he had broken my tail light he proceed to change my wiper and the manager said out loud don't touch the tail light at all why because they knew what they had done to my vehicle they sent me off and said that they couldn't fix it.As I was driving off I stop to check my vehicle and hold behold I was right they broke my tail light I confronted the employee in a nicest way possible I ask him why didn't you tell me you broke it? he reply :I thought you saw it I put on the table for you to see it ,than I respond back and said that is the way you tell a customer you damage someone property as you can imagine that blew my mind away,he was very vulgar he didn't care that I was women and handicap as well he went on and on until 4 of his co worker pulled him outside the facility to control him he was attacking me verbally he was saying profound names to me as I was walking back into my car and never once he stop until the manager arrived at facilityWhen the manager got back he sided with the employee. He never apologized for the action of his employee when he was talking to me in my vehicle.another thing is his lying to cooperate office when they have surveillance cameras which non was provide to the officers, which also is punishable by state of Connecticutanother thing he couldn't keep his story right what a manager if ask me and the facility he is running it says whole lotIndeed I did recorded you not once but 3 times and today you lied on the phone with Heather from corporate office you should be terminate immediately from your job and the employer you stood by as well you sir are representing valvoline and what it stands for which provided good customer / satisfaction which neither one you did or took accountability for it.The repairs for my vehicle right and left tail light scratch paint screw that was never place Total 1.717.60 by the way I got estimate that same day I Left your facility that is why you sir did not approve to fix my vehicleRecommendation to the district or top leader of this establishment should be whole full investigation conducted DMV / BBB and other departments agencies from the board of transportation and the consumer right and protection

This place is too dand expensive! There is NO way an oil change for such a small car can cost over $100. I don't care how convenient it is. It is just not worth the price.I feel sorry for the workers because the place looks like a terrible place to work. And there's no way they are being paid a fair wage.But the whole reason I will never go back is because the cost is way, way too high.

Friday afternoon, I finished my work schedule early (giving me time for an oil change) and this Valvoline Instant Oil Change was the closest place. I was greeted promptly and professionally by Everett (I hope I got his name right). He did a great job of taking care of me and my vehicle.I also received a Free Car Wash, which I was in need of anyway, which was nice.It is Valvoline, so you know it is great oil.They have room inside for (I believe 6 vehicles) at once. They are busy, but well-staffed and they all seem to work hard to keep everyone moving in and out quickly...Service: Oil change

I have been going here for many years and always appreciated the low pressure, quick service. The last 2 times however I had the same guy launch into a hard sell to get an engine oil flush. The sell was so hard that I almost had to be rude to get him to stop, leaving a very bad taste in my mouth. Don’t know if it’s just one guy or if it’s the new deal here

Felt like a race car driver when I pulled into this scene! There were multiple pros immediately taking care of my car needs. It was fast, efficient and easy. They run tests to determine your car’s deficits and give you options to add fluids, etc. I had a 10% coupon which I forgot to apply to the purchase of my already well-priced full synthetic oil change, so be sure to either go online for one or call them directly and they will text or email the barcode. Such a “well-oiled” machine over there. It also includes a car wash! Loved it!

Looking for a quick oil change and never again......1 star, only because you can't leave a 0 star rating. I pulled in and said I wanted a conventional oil change. The guy told me that I had to get a premium oil change for my car. I told him my car had 231,000 miles on it with just regular oil changes and that's what I wanted. He looked disgusted. He told me I needed something else that would cost 159 dollars with little explanation, and they told me both of my brake lights were out. The guy behind me was saying repeatedly, "Step on the brake, step on the brake!" Obviously dramatizing that "OMG my brakes must be out feeling." I said I doubted that because a family member was driving behind me the night before and he would have told me if my lights weren't working. Man they kept pushing hard! I told them I don't want anything done, I will bring it to the Bloomfield Garage where I always go.Long story short they were conning me about the brake lights. The brake lights both worked. If I took them at their word on everything I would have been out probably close to $300. It is no wonder to me that on a Saturday at 11AM (which should be primetime) I was the only car there.

They couldn’t even change our oil correctly. They improperly placed a new oil filter (backwards) and added too much oil. We noticed noise in engine when accelerated. Took it back and they couldn’t find an issue. Finally took it to Midas and they found problem. When confronted with this Valvoline said they could not do anything about it. I am thoroughly convinced that all of these five star reviews are fake. I had the absolute worst experience here and in venting about it, I learned that everyone else has too. When I came here the employees tried to sell me on a service that was extremely over priced. Once I said no thank you, it was all downhill. The colleagues entire demeanor toward me shifted significantly. The first thing that I noticed was that the employees put conventional oil in my car without consulting me. I actually needed synthetic oil but was not given the option. This happened on 7/15/2023. By 7/26/2023 I had to return to a different Valvoline because my engine was rumbling in first gear. In getting serviced at an alternative Valvoline I learned several things. For one, I was charged for a gasket replacement when I didn’t not receive a new gasket. I learned that there was absolutely no oil in my car. I learned that my coolant and was flowing into the engine and that should have been caught. I learned there was a cabin filter check that was not done. I learned they should have reset the setting on my car to let me know when my next oil change was. Ultimately, I paid for a service and did not receive a quality service. I figured I would take a chance on this place because it was close to where I was and had decent reviews. I can comfortably say that you should not make the same mistake. You are better off at a different location.
