I found Sue online about 6 months ago and am so glad I did!
Her salon is very inviting and peaceful. Having your nails done by Sue makes you feel like a family member is doing your nails.
She is very attentive and detailed and makes easy, good conversation.
When I leave the salon, I feel like a million bucks with nails to match! Sue is a God send.

What an amazing experience at Unique Nail! I am a new client and I got a full set (gel) today. Sue, the owner, is lovely and did a phenomenal job. These are the best nails I’ve ever gotten and I will never go anywhere else.

I don’t know who „Anna” is but I have never in my 15 years of knowing Sue had an experience like that and it’s hilarious reading her review. I had a good laugh! ? Her nails look like they are grown out two weeks and hard to believe she has an office job! Sue is the most professional, respectful, caring, and talented nail artist I have ever had. She is VERY clean. She cares about the health of my nails as well. My experience at her salon is always amazing and that’s why I keep coming back. She exceeds my expectations every time! Sue works alone and by appointment only. She takes her time to make my nails look PERFECT. Nobody gets my shape as perfect as Sue! Anyone that I have recommended to Sue always thanks me, because they have never had anyone as good as her. I have followed Sue from the previous salon she worked at before she opened her business and I will follow her wherever she goes. Thank you Sue for always making me feel beautiful ♥️

Whoever "Anna" is, what she wrote as a review is nothing like I have ever experienced with Sue in the seven years she has been doing my nails. She is a delightful person who goes out of her way to do right by her clients. She'll order a color someone really likes if she doesn't have it. She is always courteous and today, because of the ice and my knee injury, she insisted on helping me to my car. I will never go to anyone else for my nails. Some people post criticism because they're just unhappy people. I hope this doesn't do any harm to the business that Sue has worked so hard to build. Her many longtime clients, including me love her! Over the years, I’ve been to sooooooo many different nail salons. None of them compare to Unique Nail by Sue! At my very first appointment, I knew instantly that Sue would be my forever nail tech & friend! She always makes me & all her clients feel extremely comfortable in her clean peaceful salon. I love the 1on1 attention that I receive when I’m there.Not only is Sue SUPER talented, she is also an expert at gel & dip plus works miracles when waxing (transforms eyebrows so you look like a movie star!). Her products are top of the line & there’s more than a hundred colors to choose from including tons of glitters & hand painted designs.Sue is my go-to-girl now & forever! She is literally the BEST in the biz!!! ??❤️

I have known Sue and had my nails/toes done with her since the day she opened 16yrs ago. She professional, kind, patient, accommodating and sweet! I have never been unhappy with her or the service. She’s like family and I’m happy to support a small woman owned business.

This used to be my go to nail salon but the past few months my experience has not been good. My nails chip the next day, I’ve tried both gel and dip powder. This has happened multiple times and Sue has now told me to stop coming in to fix the chipped nails. I work a desk job so there is no reason my polish shouldn’t stay. I’m not sure if it is the products that the salon is using or something else. She will also stop working on your nails to work on someone else (frequently double books) or to answer the phone. She also frequently speaks on the phone while doing your nails. Her prices also keep going up but the service and quality of your nails goes down. There are much better options in West Hartford at a better price.

This place is certainly uniquely trash. The owner kicked us out because she did a terrible job on my child's nails and we spoke up about it. We could distinctly see the dirty fill in line and she refused to fix it without charging us again. She insisted the nails were "nice" but we insisted they weren't, we have images. She cursed us out as well, and she is racist. She called me the n-word in Mandarin. Don't walk.. RUN away from this place. She claimed to have spent 2 hours on her nails and it only took her 40 minutes tops! She also lied and originally told us the nail fill would be 35 dollars but then upped the price to over 50 dollars without our knowledge. We only knew of this as she yelled at us out the door saying, "Enjoy your 50 dollar job you will burn in hell!"

I stopped by for a manicure while in Hartford and am so glad I did! Sue is amazing and was able to see me right away. My nails look great and I had so much fun chatting with her. I will definitely be back.
