First day back at jiujitsu in 4 years. True white belt. Wanted to see how Underdog was and if it would be a good fit for me to get back into it. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Attended a free roll day. First match up was a purple belt, second match up was a blue belt. Had to take a rest cause I hadn't done this in a while and each roll was 5 minutes. After a break, a brown belt approached me and asked if I had anyone to roll with, nope, I replied. K, come on he said. We spoke for a bit, he asked my experience, then proceeded to hit, shove and grind hard, the crown of his forehead into mine while attempting to man handle me. He then pushed me back into the dividing wall that separates the mat from the entrance. I had to turn to stop him from continuously pushing me everywhere violently. The tops of my toes then touched the top of my foot and I heard a pop. This was on 11 February, it's now the 26th when I'm writing this and I still can't walk fully. He broke the second digit of two of my toes. Higher belts are meant to instruct and not have ego injected into it. This was 100% unacceptable from a higher belt.

Many "last minute" cancelations that make it difficult to plan outside things in advance. It started out great, with a very apparent close-knit family feeling, every staff member I encountered had/has an awesome personality and always has a positive attitude.Over time, things started to get frustrating due to so many last minute cancellations. The price plans are pretty good and include a "punch card" plan, a very nice addition for those who choose to take specific weekly classes instead of having to pay a monthly fee.Ideally, I would have rated it three and a half stars. Somewhere between "It's okay and I like it"

Visited on Sunday for the wrestling. Team was very welcoming and coach Kia is top notch with his instruction. Will definitely come back when I'm in town again.

Underdog has been my gym for over the last 4 years where I've done 1:1 training with Coach Adel. Beyond clean inside, I love all the new updates they have done as well. I'm very comfortable here, everyone's welcoming, and I love how there are so many different areas to do pad work in. Like others have said, it's great for anyone whether you're a beginner level or a pro. Cannot speak highly enough of Underdog.

This gym really goes above and beyond. It’s hard to put your finger on just one aspect of what makes it a special place. They have built a world class community of trainers, instructors and masseurs. Coach John Durrett really puts his all into his classes and you can tell that he really cares about the goals of his members. This is reflected in every coach/trainer I’ve interacted with as well. They hold themselves to a very high standard. If you’re looking for a gym that has an incredibly welcoming community, this is the place for you.

Great place! All the people there are very welcoming and friendly. The instructors there really know what they teach and many of them are good mma fighters. I’m always a bit suspicious walking into a martial arts place because of the immense amount of Mcdojos out there, but Underdog is definitely not one of them. Thank you to the Underdog staff for their hard work in making the gym run.

Top-notch instructors! John Durrett has been my fitness guru for some time and I am a stronger, fitter man for it. Thoughtful, knowledgeable coaches on both the gym side and the martial arts side. Highly recommended!

I’ve been training here for over 4 months and would definitely recommend for anyone who wants to get into weightlifting, increase strength, and improve endurance under an eye of an experienced coach. No pressure type of environment with main focus on technique. Everyone can find something to focus on.

I’ve been going to Underdog for a couple months now after switching gyms, I love it! It really feels like a close-knit family unit that truly cares about your progress. Instructors and knowledgeable and friendly, everyone is nice and welcoming. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a good MMA experience to join up at Underdog!

I found Underdog through my husband, who (full disclosure) is now providing the strength and conditioning program for the gym. I’ve dabbled in a couple areas of martial arts, and can say the instruction is on point and the other athletes are super friendly and helpful for me as a beginner.
