Unfortunately I just have to leave a review something i rarely ever do. I visited this establishment 3, maybe 4 times, she gets 10 out of 10 for having no wait time. For cut and style I’ll give a 7 because the style fell the very same day, a few hours later. (heard this same complaint from the person who recommended me) but thought I give it a shot. Called today to get clarification on available time slots that are open for a certain day, and just like in the pass the attitude was just so unprofessional and unfriendly that I just said you know what, that’s it. I was hoping to make this my new stylist being that I had moved closer to the area. A little more kinder, and approachable is all

I’ve gone back and forth about whether to write this review, as I hate to bring another woman down. But I feel like it might be helpful.I went to Tiffany based on a recommendation from my mom, who really liked the way she did her silk press. Sadly, my experience was not the same.I scheduled highlights, a cut and a silk press. I asked for caramel highlights and showed her a picture for reference. When she took the foils out, the highlights on one half of my hair were bleached bright yellow blond and the other side of my head had brassy orange highlights. She asked me how I liked the color and I told her I wanted caramel, this is where it all went down hill. It may just be her way of speaking, but she speaks in a very hard way and she seemed to be annoyed that I wasn’t happy with the color. She did agree to tone it down. The result was better, but reddish and not at all caramel. I decided to leave good enough alone. She then cut and pressed my hair.The next problem, is that my silk press wasn’t silky. It looked ok, but it felt super dry and my ends were crunchy.Another thing, I know that it is summer, but I have lived in tropical climates and I am from Atlanta, I’ve always successfully worn silk presses. They don’t last long when it’s very humid, but I do have realistic expectations about that. So, I was quite surprised when the curls fell as soon as I left and by that evening and my hair had puffed up into a very hard afro. I decided put it into braids for a couple of weeks so that I would look presentable. A few weeks later, today, and I decided to try to blow it out today. I am attaching a picture for reference. It turns out that my hair is so severely over-processed that nothing can be done with it. Certainly, Tiffany, an experienced stylist must have recognized that she accidentally over processed my hair. I wish she had owned it and offered to help me get it back into the most decent condition possible. I also want to add that I am a technician in the beauty industry. I understand that sometimes things don’t go as planned. We miscalculate and sometimes just flat out make mistakes. But a humble attitude and a kind way of speaking certainly can help smooth things over. I just wish she was different.Never mind the fact that I paid $185, plus 20% tip for a bad hairstyle, and my hair is absolutely ruined. I now have no choice but to cut all of the damaged hair off which will leave me with the tiniest of afros. I’m speechless.

I recently started going to Tiffany a few weeks ago and I’m glad I did! Both times I did not have to wait to be serviced. She took me right in! As a professional and mom with a very busy schedule, I appreciate her getting me in and out in a timely manner. My second visit was my first time getting a perm from her and I was very pleased. I like to read most of the reviews before trying out any place, so in reading the reviews I decided to try out Serenity. Some of the reviews stated that she was off-putting, well I definitely did see that she was. And she is very unorganized and unprofessional. I say this because #1 I had a 930AM appointment and I was on time with my baby out in the cold because she was late, #2 when I booked the appointment 3 weeks ago I asked her if I would be her 1st appointment because I would have my baby with me and I didn't want to impact her other client's experience. With that being said she took two other people before me and at that time it was 10AM. #3 My son was sleeping so it would have been sensible to get the client that was "scheduled at 930AM " and had a calm, sleeping child in and out after all I was getting a basic service and I brought my own rollers just in case he made too much noise then I would be able to leave in a breeze. Long story short my experience was blah and it really put a damper on my day. Thank God for alternatives! And no I am not going back and forth with the owner just in case you do reply simply because this is an honest review!Service: Hairstyling

I am from Bridgeport which is a bigger city then the Hartford/west Hartford area I have been to Tiffany 3 times and have never been disappointed. She not only cares for the style but cares for your hair. My natural hair is down my shoulders and the silk press was amazing best one I have ever got. And I recently got bundled since it’s summer and it’s amazing it looks absolutely natural and no heat damage to my natural hair. I recommend you check her out she is very gentle with your hair and always asks you exactly what you want and her prices are very fair compared to these others mediocre places. I choose her as my stylist for my natural hair & bundles check her out if your in the area.Services: Haircut

Sorry but this place is anything but serene. She did my hair once before and it looked good (though she complained about how I should have purchased better grade hair, and that next time I should buy the hair she has in stock). Today, I went back after having booked an appointment for a 360 sew in. Though her attitude was not the best, I still wanted to support the hustle. I called on the day I booked my appointment to ask how to go about ordering 360 hair. She said it was on the site. I informed her that it wasn't on the site but booked the appointment anyways. I called several times before my appointment in an effort to order the hair. All my calls went to voicemail and none were returned. I showed up on the day of, and she very rudely said she couldn't do the 360 bc I didn't order it. She speaks to people in a very condescending manner. I informed her of my various attempts but she didn't seem to care. Okay, no problemo, i wasn't deadset on the 360. I told her I would do a sew instead. She didn't have the hair I wanted but I was willing to settle. I asked for a total and she said she didn't know. So I asked for individual prices. It's 180 to install, 75 for a bundle (she would use 2 pieces so 150) and 50 for the closure. My total would have been almost 400. That was far from what I bargained for, so I politely declined, informed her that her prices on the site were misleading, and left. Do with this information what you will. I'm more mad at her lack of people skills than her prices. She needs to learn to not speak to people in a such a rude, condescending, belittling manner.

Tiffany was awesome! My hair looks great. This was my first time to her shop. She was timely and payed close attention to detail. She was very friendly, personable, and most of all listened to what I wanted. She executed the style I was asking for exactly. I already made my next appointment. Tiffany was wonderful! I walked in needing my hair done for a wedding in this hot Summer. I was apprehensive going to a salon since my last experience with another stylist ended with heat damage. She was extremely gentle and understanding. The style I came in for didn’t exactly go as planned because my wig was too small but she was FLEXIBLE and went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure I left with something that looked good and would last for how long I needed it to. Super grateful for her can do attitude and professionalism. Thank you so much!

Serenity Hair is the best salon I’ve been to in Connecticut. Tiffany (the owner) of the salon really cares about her clients and the services she provides. My hair has grown tremendously in the last 3-4 years. Tiffany always does an amazing job, and gets you in and out in a timely manner. Tiffany is very passionate about her clients and the health of their hair. About 3 years ago I started going to this salon, and my hair was thinning real bad in the top of my head. She recommended some growth serum oil from her shop, and my hair has been thriving and growing ever since. This is hands down the best shop I’ve been to in CT. I have been to several shops where you are stuck there for hours wasting a whole day because the stylist has overbooked. That is not the case at Serenity Hair you are done in a timely manner, and can go about your day. I recommend this salon.Services: Hairstyling
