I’ve been trying to get a new window put on my car since Nov 2023 it is now February 2024 . I’ve scheduled three appointments with them so far. The first time they canceled day of in the morning because they didn’t have the molding. Second time they canceled day of in the morning because they didn’t have the windshield… so I don’t understand how I was even was scheduled for any of these appointments if they don’t have the windshield.. it’s comical at this point. 3rd appointment I said I’ll just go in please tell me when everything is in, and please just visually look so I don’t have to waste any more time . Came in for a 8oclk appointment they had a saftey mtg for about and hour so I got the news that they had the incorrect windshield at 930 . I don’t know if this is just a west Hartford safe lite issue or safe lite in general but I feel bad for people working there because it’s ran terribly. Definitely some leadership and accountability issues going on.

If i could give 0 stars i would. Do not go here!! They don't know what they're doing!! I made an appointment to replace my passenger window and prepaid come the day to fix it they had the wrong window. I already had to miss work for this and now i had to reschedule because of their mistake. I reschedule almost a week later just for them to call me the morning of to tell me they dont have the part and that it didnt come in. I canceled the appointment and got my money back. Made an appointment elsewhere for much cheaper. After reading other peoples reviews im happy they didnt touch my car because clearly they have been screwing peoples vehicles up. Safelite is garbage and way overpriced.

My experience was TERRIBLE!!! They canceled my appointment 30mins after appointment window time. I had to call the shop, tech and customer service myself for help to figure out what happened to my appointment. They said they would call me back and never did! And took them 3 days to refund my money back! I WILL NEVER USE SAFELITE AGAIN!! ??????

Horrible place. 1st appointment for replacement was book for repair and had to be rescheduled. 2nd appointment didn't have all the parts so a 3rd appointment is now needed.

Ok glass shop. They came out & installed new windshield but they broke it. Had to search for contact info. You can't call them, only emails. Got new appointment but had to go to shop. Was told 2 hours but it took 3 hours & my ride just made it there at 5pm as they were closing. Very stressful since I needed car to go to work that night.

Worst place to bring your car. I brought my car in for what I thought was a simple windshield replacement and instead ended up with over $1,000 in damage to my car. It started with excess adhesive seeping out of the windshield, only for me to find out there was about 4 inches of damage to my hinge pillar that was poorly touched up with paint. When it was brought to the managers attention the very next morning, her response was "it's too f***** early in the morning for this". The manager was incredibly rude and unprofessional. There was never any compassion shown regarding my concerns, instead she told me she would have to watch hours of video to see what had happened to the car while it was being worked on. She also tried to tell me I had to use one of their shops if I wanted the repairs to be covered with Safelite, which is not true in CT. Once we got the car into a shop, we were told that the windshield that was installed obviously needed to be taken out and reinstalled. Trying to get them to cover the cost of another windshield was also a headache. They insisted that they be the one to do the installation of the new windshield which I immediately declined. Everyone we spoke to from the company was awful to work with and was more concerned with "cost savings" than they were with repairing my vehicle. Never again would I allow anyone from Safelite to service my car, I'd rather take my deductible and put it towards a technician that actually knows what they're doing.

Extremely disappointed!!! Was told for months that I need to order a part in order to have my window replaced by multiple employees at the location and at work. The window came in, the part I needed prior to window coming in was on back order. Finally part was back in stock and was told my insurance will not cover it. Called insurance they told me that the whole process is covered. After a few months went by with plastic over my door waiting, waiting and waiting. Called the shop to see if they would be able to get put without part Going in to the colder months and having a kid. I was told no I need to buy the part. Called my dealer ship to buy said part. Called to book appointment, thinking finally this nightmare was over to only get a call the appointment was canceled. I call to try to understand why was my appointment canceled. Finally I spoke to a woman whom seem like she cared and knew what she was doing explained to me the same thing my insurance said. That they were supposed to order the part and window. After she worked her magic the appointment was rebooked and finally the came out and fixed. They charged my insurance the full price and I lost out on my money I came out of pocket to replace. All of this over the course of 7 months later. I tried my best not to get mad, upset or disgruntled. I just don't understand why. I missed out on time from for 2 trip to the location to be told they can't fix it I have to buy the part, coming to job after 2 more times to be told the same thing. After numerous phones calls and online booking appointments. You would think I would have atleast received so much as a I'm sorry from the shop and Manger and reimburse me for the part I paid for out of pocket! Nope think again only impression I received was the fact that I was lucky enough this carried on so long that this final time it was actually fixed. Never again will I go back to your west hartford location! For all you smart people out there learn from my mistake And NEVER BRING YOUR BUSINESS OR PROBLEMS TO THEM!!!!!!!!! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE IN HISTORY!!!!!!

Worst experience I’ve ever had in my life 10 out of 10 would tell you to just have a homeless person replace your windshield because they would do a better job than this hack job of a shop. They refuse to replace my glass that they installed incorrectly that broke going over a pothole. The person who came to look at my window was there for 2 minutes said it’s the weekend we didn’t cause that claim denied and said you’ll have to go thru insurance. Will never recommend anyone to safelight ever again

Had 2 windows replaced. Had to go back to have broken glass shards removed it was scratching the glass and couldn't put passenger side windows down from driver's side.

I received notifications prepping me for my scheduled service all the way up to the morning of my appointment. I arrived only to be told that they didn't actually have the glass yet. The woman in charge stayed hidden in the office and told the techs what to say to me. They couldn't even offer any idea of when to reschedule. My appointment had been set for over a week! Where was the communication? I was missing work to accommodate their availability. The least they could have done was have someone in charge explain to me exactly what happened. Needless to say, I had my insurance switch both my vehicles to another provider who was able to secure the glass I needed within an hour ??♀️. Customer service is truly a lost art at this location.

I have been trying to get my windshield replaced for 2 months. 3 times the one received was either damaged or the wrong part, but not discovered until after I dropped the car off (1/2 hour away). Still waiting....

West Hartford team is TOP NOTCH!! I set up the appt and work, replacement of windshield, was completed in less than 24 hrs. This included a certified recalibration of the windshield! You will NOT find this level of service this day and age too often. I highly recommend this team of professionals for any auto glass work.
