I can’t believe I didn’t check out this place years ago. It reminds me of the Japanese markets in New York City. It was crazy busy. So much to choose from. It had everything I was looking for. I will definitely drive the 40 minutes every two weeks.

I have been looking for a store to get sashimi grade fish, and so happy to find this store! They sell same-day packed salmon, tuna, yellowtail, and Uni with great prices. I bought some salmon, and it was fresh and delicious.

Went for the first time on the recommendation of a coworker. Good selection of Japanese products, they had almost everything I was looking for. Got the takoyaki from the refrigerated section which was good, will be going back to try the sushi and bento boxes.

A wonderful supermarket that lets me try authentic Japanese foods without having to go to Japan or send away. They have everything you would need in their sushi, snack, pastry, skin care, spice, and merchandise sections of the store. The market is clean and staff are pleasant. The only thing you should know before coming is to bring a refrigerated bag if you want to buy sushi, ice cream, or pastries, they don’t offer them in store and you don’t want your stuff to melt! If you are in West Hartford and you love Japan, stopping here is a must!

This is a small, seemingly family run Japanese market near blue back Square in West Hartford. It is right across the street from the Whole Foods. They have a wide variety of Japanese foods, condiments, packaged meals, and even some fresh made sushi, ramen, noodles. They also have some beauty products. I went with my sister, who was able to find a made in Japan only mascara that she had been looking for. They also pretty frequently have sales on unique items. They have always been delicious when I've tried them. I would recommend to check out this place for ideas when you're looking to try a new Asian dish.

Small store. Awkward staff following us, felt like they thought we were stealing? Some items very expensive for what you get ( a pen for almost $10) which I can understand due to the import costs. Nice pastry's/candy. Offering a wide variety of items.

Such fresh grab and go foods with lots of specialty grocery items. Loved the yellow tail & scallion sushi, and the spicy tuna w Mayo. I was able to get a few groceries I needed for Okonimiyaki, kewpie Mayo, okonomi sauce, furikake and bonito flakes! I am a big fan of this Japanese market!

Well stocked Japanese mart with delicious food and a good selection of grocery items. Some Korean items can be found, but primarily Japanese food items. There is also a really cute selection of stationary, gatchapon, and other gift-y items! The bento boxes are made fresh each day, so I highly recommend grabbing one!! They also have bread snacks made fresh that are beyond delicious - both individually wrapped as well as bags of bread too. They carry a selection of sushi and sandwhiches that are made fresh too, though I've not purchased these just yet. The aisles are on the smaller side, so be careful when its busy or for those with wheelchairs. Great spot for lunch to go!!

This is a nice, compact grocery/ deli at the Strawberry Park shopping center. There are no inside tables, but there are benches at the center to sit on. There is a nice hot bar with plenty of bento boxes with many dishes, including karrage, teriyaki, salmon, chicken, noodles and more. The rice bento boxes are pretty substantial. The assortment of cold drinks is good as well. There is a cold section with jellyfish salad, poke type bowls and more. Hidden in the back is the croquettes in a warmer with a door, with salmon, pork, chicken, squid and more. They are $3 each and are very crispy outside. Sauce is provided. Good place for a quick grocery/ deli stop.

This place is incredible! Small, but everything that is genuine all Japanese foods, ingredients, snacks, and even some anime trinkets. Love the Japanese rice crackers, melon breads, bento box meals and the pizza buns.

I adore this place! The selection of food is really good and the prepared food section is well priced. The staff aren't really present, but at a store like this I don't think it matters as much.
