Such a great place! Every now and then out of the blue, I need to figure out how to fix a paint color somewhere on my house which I've owned for 20 years... they solve this for me every time with great service and advice. Very high quality products as well... Only place I'll go to in West Hartford :-)

So we are a small local contractor in the area and where using John Boyle for our painting supplies but as we where noticing above average pricing and no contractor discounts we will no longer be using them. I dont see the poi t in setting up an account if we are not getting some sort of kickback. Other than that, the store is clean, good service, and hardly ever a wait.

I've often seen contractors going in and out of this establishment. When my handyman suggested I buy paint for a sizable exterior repainting job, I was a bit intimidated at the idea of entering the shop, given my clueless, homeowner status. In fact, the staff were incredibly helpful and patiently explained the differences between, e.g., oil and water-based primers. With their advice, I held off on doing the job in late autumn, which would necessitate the use of faster-drying, less durable latex primer, in favor of a spring start, when we could use the superior, oil-based product. I can't recommend this place highly enough! See you next spring.

Terrible - they do not stand behind their decorating products. Terrible CS rude. Spent $10k on blinds and can’t get a replacement part. All they say is factory says not in stock and is back ordered and you’ll have to pay for service call when available. So disappointed.

All I can say is as a contractor I am constantly looking for reliable good quality places to go this place is always at the top of my list. Robert was able to match the paint absolutely perfectly for me for a very, very picky Customer. Great customer service. , great quality paint Ben Moore is pricey but you get what you pay for.

Ordered two gallons of paint via online and set pickup time for later in the day. We ran into traffic coming from out of state and showed up right when the store was closing, desperately needing paints to fix up our new home purchase. The team unlocked the front door for us, confirmed our paint order, and made the paints (staying after they closed to do so). We are new to the area but are now lifelong customers of this shop. Will use for all of our needs. Thanks so much! You saved us.

Norell gets high praise from me because she made it possible for me to get much needed supplies during this time of required distancing. Norell took my order and payment on the phone for several items and packed them together, so I simply picked up the package.
