This is one of the better package stores in the area. It feels a little cramped inside, but the selection is pretty good, and the price is a little better than the rest.
When walking inside, you feel that this is indeed still an independently owned business, and not one of those corperatly run places.
The only disappointment I had is that their mascot is no longer around wandering the aisles. I hope that someday, another dog is brought in to act as host and ambassador.

There are some things that are safe to judge a bottle of wine by, that is the year of production and the country of origin. One thing that you should not judge it by, is the packaging. I was in a rush, to a baby's baptism, I stopped by Harvey's in Bishop's Corner for the pre baptism party which I wanted to bring a bottle of wine to. As I walked inside a gentleman, for all I know he might be Harvey, came to assist me with selecting a wine. He told me about some of the taste profiles, he was very knowledgeable about the products in his store. Then I spotted a Chardonnay called Prayers of Saints. What's more fitting than this for a baptism? I didn't take my own advice, I got it based on the packaging. However, the gentleman did reassure me, this was a good pick. It's light and refreshing. There are also plenty of other liquors, beers and wine options at Harvey's. I would stop by when I need to pick up something for a gathering.

Not my normal package store, but it's close to where I work so I decided to give it a whirl. The owners were so friendly and greeted me as I walked in the door. Great selection of wine as well! Will definitely be back.

Was rudely asked to leave for not having a mask, despite being fully vaccinated and no sign saying masks required to enter. I don’t usually patron this establishment, but in the past 6 months this is the only place who reacted in such away. According to their staff masks are more effective than vaccines

I was quickly told to put a mask on upon entering this store. I respect everyone's feelings about covid and every business's policies on covid. However the man was quite rude and snarky to me. I asked where other liquor stores were located since I did not have a mask on me and he sent me another sarcastic remark about how if I had a smart phone I could find one. I will never buy here just because I should not have to deal with rude people when I'm trying to give them business. Had he been nice I would have not left a negative review. Please learn some manners.

They've been around longer than you, monkey. Why do you suppose that is? Not just because you're wet behind the ears, but because they deliver a durable product: fair offering, fair prices, unobtrusive service, no flash just solid. You want some fancy beer? They got it. You say you like sweet white and better yet in a 1.5 liter bottle? They got it. "Mommy something-or-other" on the label? An animal, a cute phrase, a flower? Yeah - they got it. What if you want the best that the Willamette Valley can do? A year-old Beaujolais? An arcane Italian Amaro for an arcane cocktail? The Sta Barbara Sauvignon Blanc you drank until the arrival of your first child and then took to South Africa to match up against the best Franschhoek had to offer... and wowed them with it but which is now unobtanium because after presciently declaring to your brother that beer made in barrels which previously nurtured Chardonnay or Armagnac or bourbon or something golden and lovely, maybe champagne, is fabulous, only to see the idea stolen by the spoilt child of a rubber dynasty that sold out to Japan before it was the done thing, the vintner had a terrible fight with the farmer and owner and that was that for their relationship? Yeah, they can get it for you when even the fanciest stores cannot. Once this maldita pandemic is over get your bony backside over there for tasting night and soak up the knowledge, the goodness, the elixirs on offer... these are the good guys, the real deal.

The employees here are not helpful and in many cases, actively and openly rude. The prices aren't even that good, so there's no particular reason not to go to one of the other liquor stores in the area. I know for a fact there are better ones within walking distance with helpful, knowledgeable, and polite employees, plus decent prices, so I'm really struggling to find a reason to go to Harvey's. They have a dog there sometimes, which is pretty cool I suppose, but it's just not worth dealing with the people who work there.
