I'll state the obvious first: if you're looking to cook meat, this butcher is the place to go. Super friendly, helpful, and the best quality around. But the real reason I frequent Hall's so often: The deli counter is a local TREASURE. From the pre-made foods to made-to-order sandwiches, I've never ordered something I didn't love. If you haven't tried "Dave's Favorite" sandwich, you're missing out - go order it immediately and thank me later. The pasta salad is also incomparable. And my husband's personal trick: order a BEC breakfast sandwich with caramelized onions and chipotle mayo. No breakfast sandwich will ever compare.

Halls Market in West Hartford, CT is great! It is a small market but has a great meat counter! I have been buying our Christmas roast beef there for several years. They also have a good supply of vegetables, fruit and other groceries! The employees are knowledgeable and helpful!!

Came in at 120 on a Saturday afternoon- ordered 2 sandwiches, one meatball grinder the other Dave’s fav. Waited 50min for Dave’s fav, as it came out the meatball was obviously cold- asked for a warm up and a blonde older women with glasses stated” it’s not cold” I looked at her and said yes, I’m not eating that- would you? She responded yes..overall the shop to prioritize phone orders over in store order is.. insane-

For first time, did Hall's full Thanksgiving dinner. Food was fantastic and plentiful. Loads of leftovers. Family tradition from now on.

They are rude a lot of times once that older man back in the butcher tried to act like I couldn't afford a whole prime rib...I had to let him know he was talking way above his pay grade. The older lady at the register asked me if I was my boss's courier because I was picking up his sandwich. I kindly let her know I'm a Director of finance and administration at a local clinic. They better be glad Tracey the lady who makes the hot sandwich is back because she is the best one in that place her sandwiches are Amazing. I've lived in West Hartford 30 years over the years the staff has gotten so rude.

One of my favorite markets just far enough away from the newer shopping to keep its old school market feel. Everything from game-day ribs to super sandwiches and delicious health bar cookies.
