I brought my 9 year old cat, Brownie, to Connecticut Veterinary Center at 10 pm on a Saturday night. I was worried about his eyes. His father lost sight in one eye due to an infection. I had just flown my cat from his native England to live here permanently. It's been a hectic week. The vet was thorough and kind, washing out his eyes and ears and giving me the right medications to apply at home. We got out of there by midnight on a night when there were more serious cases. This is the place to come when you have an emergency. Excellent, caring service.

Went to Connecticut Veterinary Center for an emergency visit with my pup and I can’t say enough about how great they were. We were seen right away and the receptionist was wonderful. The veterinarian who took care of Bubbie was Dr. Nicholas and he was GREAT. He came out to talk to me and explained everything he checked out. Thankfully there was nothing wrong and I was just being an overprotective dog mom. I would HIGHLY recommend CVC and give them 10 ⭐️!

I called to set up an emergency appointment and waited on hold three times, each time for over 10 minutes. Why have an emergency phone option and give it zero priority?

The staff were so kind. I was very upset and worried coming in with my cat but everyone was so gentle and so reassuring. They took such good care of my Jiji and I completely trusted them. Dr. Tallboy was very kind and honest about what needed to be done to help. He was super knowledgeable and I trusted him. Every person I interacted with was so sweet and helpful. I am so happy I went here and I know if anything happens in the future I will come back here.

Hearing a blood curdling scream and seeing my baby sick and on his side, was the most terrifying day. Dr Cox was there for us & diagnosed this acute first incident of urinary tract disease in my cat, - quickly and accurately. Began treatment w meds right away, diet change suggested and left with the proper canned food. Got the initial education on this illness & he called back later to answer additional questions. Dr Cox goes above and beyond to be sure his clients are cared for. 20 years with Dr Cox and staff. Ozi is home resting and follow up is scheduled.

overall a very subpar experience. the assistants and receptionists are extremely unprofessional and there is no communication on the status of your pet. i understand that when a more severe case comes in they take priority but i had to wait for 30 minutes to know if my pets vitals were okay and what was happening when they took her to the back. the doctor who examined my pet initially and told us about treatment options and medication left after his shift ended without giving us any heads up about the status of the treatment or if she was okay. after the doctor left we sat in the exam room for another 20 minutes waiting for an update, which we didn’t get until i walked over to reception to ask. they get the job done but it does not seem like they really care about your pet or your time, definitely deserves the title of a last resort vet.

I unfortunately had an emergency with my pet cat sparky last night. I called these guys and they said ring the doorbell we will take you in. It was almost midnight and my cat lost all mobility in his back end. They were able to tell us that he had underlying heart issues that had caused a blood clot to stop his back legs from working after moving down after time. They were amazing while consoling us and helping us pass him over the rainbow bridge as peacefully as possible. We were able to spend as much time as we could with him and we are able to have beautiful memorials made for him. The staff was amazing in the horrible times we had and I’m so glad we were able to afford it because that cat deserved the world!
