Avery is the best! She’s been drawing my blood for over a year (I need it done every other month) and I don’t feel a thing. Highly recommend!

My phlebotomist Avery did a wonderful job today! I want to make sure she gets the recognition she deserves. My experience with her was quick, pleasant and painless.

My bloodwork was sent to them for testing. Long story short, I was charged twice. I paid for one test. Seven months later, I am still fighting to not pay the second bill. Billing, and what amounts I guess to Customer Service, have insisted on the wrong narrative over and over. It seemingly is an organizational catastrophe over there, with no one able to not only solve problems for themselves, but solve between departments. (UPDATE) After several more weeks of dealing with this, I have reached a satisfactory resolution and my bill was zeroed out. However, this is after literally dozens of attempts with at least 4 different people in the office who said they were going to "forward this to the Lab Director" and receiving no follow-up. I managed to wheedle an email to said Lab Director, who actually wrote back and said, "Honestly, that is the first I've heard of this and after three or four more cc'd emails, it looked like it had been rectified..." Absolute, total, utter mismanagement by all parties at this operation.

This office is horribly run. Zero front office staff. Tons of people waiting in waiting room. It’s ridiculous.

Just had blood work done here and Esther who worked at the front and drew my blood was amazing!! I had my toddler with me and she was so accommodating to him, she tried to make the process as fast as possible and even played nursery rhymes on her phone for him while I got my blood drawn. What a pleasant experience!!

I just got to work after having blood drawn at this location this morning. I had a series of experiences that gave me serious concerns about safety, privacy, and accountability. First, the staff at the front desk made a comment about my appearance on my ID -- it was not a lewd comment, he basically just said that the photo was nice. This is unsolicited attention to my appearance and it is unprofessional conduct, but if that was the only thing that happened while I was there, I would have totally ignored it. The following events, however, made me look back on it as a warning sign. Second, there is only ONE staff working there -- the person at the front desk was also the one and only tech! So he would leave people in the waiting room next to the desk area unattended. I know there's a little plexiglass window but people can still look in. Third, when the tech was drawing my blood, he leaned into my hand that was handing over the front of the arm rest and made prolonged contact -- obviously my hand was right at the height of his genitalia. This is highly, highly inappropriate -- no physical contact should be made with patients, he could have stood around to the side of the area where my hand hung over the edge of the arm rest. Furthermore, it was not just a brush. Like it said, it was prolonged, and it made all my little sensors around boundaries and discomfort go off in that moment. This was purposeful, premeditated sexual harassment that this tech likely gets away with on the regular because getting blood drawn makes many of us uncomfortable and we look away. I was a little shaken but still processing as he finished up and gave me the little plastic container for the urine sample. I opened the door to the bathroom right next to the lab room and someone else' urine sample with their name and DOB was still sitting in there. I pointed it out to the tech and he went into to get it. At that moment, I felt emboldened to comment that I should call management and tell them they need another staff member here. I mentioned the urine sample and privacy at the front desk, then said that it was also important because of issues of accountability and sexual harassment. He said that he agreed and "thinks about that every day" in smug, smiley way. After leaving the urine sample, I was going out through the front and I was going to make a comment about his unprofessional conduct leaning into my hand. There was an elderly couple in the waiting room and I felt bad alarming everyone else. I just left messages for two different supervisors at the central office of Collaborative Lab Services and I hope I hear back ASAP.

I have been three times to the West Hartford office for Collaborative labs at Bishop"s Corner. The first time my experience was just average and non-rebarkable.My second visit was a nightmare from beginning to end.Today"s visit was a dream. I walked in to an empty lobby/waiting area. In less than three minutes I was sitting in the lab chair. The phlebotomist who drew my blood was a young lady named Tiana.Though I could not see her face under her mask, Tiana"s voice clearly let me know that she was speaking to me with a smile on her face. She is just such a pleasant young lady and made me feel very comfortable. She completed my visit in a pain-free and swift manner. I cannot say enough good things about my experience today and especially the young lady that did my blood draw.

Have given urine specimen here twice for same test and keep getting calls from MD that I will have to go do the test again due to technician error. Won't be coming back a third time.

This office supposedly opens at 8AM. I waited for 45 minutes and finally left at 8:45. When I called to inquire, I was told that they were running "a little late".
