I purchased a new vehicle from them paying cash. This was one of the worst experiences of my life. Avoid this dealership.

Purchased an Elantra here 2 yrs ago. Had it in for another oil change and tire rotation today. As always, everyone was friendly, professional, and courteous. Service was done quickly (1.25 hr). Nice, clean waiting room...Keurig, water, cookies and candy available. No TV, though...bring your phone! ? Will buy my next car here when it's time.

I took my new Hyundai Elantra in for a Bluelink update, that was under warranty and they charged me $82.00 for half an hour of labor that was supposed to be covered by Hyundai. I called the main office in California and they told me that is not the way they do business & it should have been free. I will never go to them again.

The dealership has taken so long to register my vehicle that it is no longer road legal. I have been misinformed and lied to multiple times. Nobody has provided meaningful support to me. I gave 2 stars because the online process was easy. But not being able to drive my vehicle is unacceptable. They have assured me multiple times over the last 2 weeks that everything would be taken care of "tomorrow". I can't recommend giving any money to a company that doesn't do one of the most basic functions a dealership should be doing. This has turned into a situation where I now have to rent a vehicle to get to work. I am embarrassed I bought this car. Buy somewhere else!

I have always done very honest and direct reviews, both good and bad, so here goes: It's been 7 years since I purchased a new vehicle, but glad we chose Xavier and Shaker's. There is a dealer closer to us that we visited but we weren't impressed and actually stopped looking at Hyundais. We considered Kia, Buick and GMCs. We didn't like them for a variety of reasons so we decided to give the Hyundai a 2nd chance. They were friendly, knowledgeable and non-pushy. It made the experience enjoyable and our Palisade Calligraphy is a beautiful vehicle. And a nice touch having it clean inside while we did the paperwork.

Terrible customer's service. They acted like they were doing us a favor, when we were buying it. Sellers disrespected me and my father, and the manager treated us even worse. we waited 3 hours to be able to talk to the financial guy and when we got there he told is a totally different thing from what the seller told us. We had already given them our downpayment and now 4 days later we still haven seen a single dollar bill.

3/2/24: Overall this dealership is not to be trusted. It has been difficult as a new time buyer to find a good dealership and this one has proven to not be helpful and is lying with their motto of being transparent and not just being in it for the money. I work weekdays and wanted to come in on Saturday after the snowstorm to purchase a car. I spoke with with Kyle through email, phone, and text about holding this vehicle and he agreed to it willingly and made me an appointment for Saturday. I was then trying to look at the car again to see pictures, when I noticed the car was off their site. I texted Kyle very concerned as I had already purchased the insurance for the car and he never got back to me. I then decided to call the dealership as I did not want to waste my time and spoke with a lady (name not given) who told me they are not allowed to hold vehicles despite Kyle promising it would be. She said I should have put a hold on the car in cash and honestly I would have but was never told anything about. I live 40 minutes out and was very excited to test drive this vehicle and made plans with multiple people who took work time off to help give me a ride up there and it is just very disappointing to have employees to lie to you and sell the car they promised to hold. 3/11/23: To make matters worse, the same representative (Kyle) continues to call and leave voicemails and texts trying to get me to admit that I "misunderstood" and was "under the wrong impression" when he clearly communicated he would hold the car and NEVER mentioned a deposit. Enough with the lies and harassment. He also wanted me to consider look at other cars from his dealership despite me telling their dealership I'm no longer interested in looking at their cars! Money scheme. I did on a good note buy a wonderful car from another dealership. Shame on this one. If I could rate 0/5, I would.

As we know new cars are hard to find. Most dealers are charging over MSRP but on their website under a specific car it says call for price. I called about a specific car and made an appointment to come see it and the salesperson said the price was online. Went in and was ready to work on the trade and financing and they then turn around and said the price of the car was over 3500 more than advertised online so I walked. Most dealers are up front about adding on money because of demand but they weren't upfront which means I wasted an hour driving there and back and the gas to get there. Buyer beware!!!!

Shakers Family Hyundai of Watertown, CT. VIN NUMBER GLASS ETCHING SCAMMERS. BEWARE! Paul Ciarcia (Salesperson), Edward Shaker (Sales Manager), Sherri Lemke (Finance) are the 3 masters of Vin Number Etching Scam. Don't be fooled, everyone employed and owners are also masters of the scam. The scam is to tell customers who want to purchase New and Used vehicles that the Vin Number Etching is optional. Then when you tell them you do not want to pay $199.99 for the etching, they say it comes from the factory on New veichles. Which is an out right lie! When refused on a Used vehicle, this is how Paul Ciarcia (the initiator of the scam) tells you "no problem I will take it off". Then when you sit with the closer of the scam, Sherri Lemke, and you see that the charge is still there ($199.99) and question why it is there, she says "you don't want it, ok I will take it off". As you sit there with the paperwork being shoved in your face quickly telling you to just sign here, you entrust that the charge has been taken off. I just want everyone to know that this dealer charges $199.99. It's done in a matter of minutes. Anyone can do it. The kit costs under $20.00 on EBay and several other sites. If you are at any dealership and they refuse to take off the $199.99 etching charge, WALK OUT! Why do business with a Dealership that would engage in shady practices like that. Again, remember it costs them under $20.00 to do that. This was the 1st time I dealt with this because I'm from New York. For those who are interested in purchasing a New or Used Vehicle from Shakers Family Hyundai by Internet or in person, you will see on your invoice the $199.99 Vin Number Etching charge. The purpose of me writing this is to inform everyone who reads this to tell them you DO NOT WANT IT AND MAKE SURE IT IS NOT IN YOUR CONTRACT OR ANY OTHER PAPERWORK. REMEMBER VIN NUMBER ETCHING IS OPTIONAL. It is not a law. Insurances companies do not recognize it as a major savings, if at all. It also is not etched from the factory. The Dealer does it for under $20.00 a vehicle. Watch it on YouTube. This is a SHADY DEALERSHIP! STAY AWAY! Like

ShawnaGrant was my salesperson. She went above and beyond to help me get the car that I wanted. The team all worked together to assist me and make my transaction smooth. Albert was also wonderful getting my financing and registrationset up. Xavier also did a great job walking me through all of the features in my new 2022 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid.I highly recommend this dealership.
