My husband and I had a fantastic experience working with Ron and his staff in Danbury today. We needed new car insurance because our previous company raised our rates over $1200.00 a yr. ( no points or accidents). Ron was able to get us a BETTER policy, with higher limits of liability and lower monthly payments. What a deal!

Submitted Complaint
In the beginning of the year we began doing business with AIA LLC in watertown. We were helped by an agent named Cara who was amazing. The owner Ronald Boucher let her go and took over our policy. Ron has been a consistent problem. Ron is rude and pushy. We own an office in the same building as AIA LLC and used them to insure it. In March my partner requested a quote which Ron never processed. about a week ago he must have decided he wanted to give us the quote. We are very busy opening a new business and have not had time to respond to Ron. On 2 separate occasions Ron walked to our locked office suite and attempted to put in what he thought was our secure and private code to enter. When he was unable to gain access he began banging loudly on the door. Our assistant answered and told him we were on a conference call. Ron returned approximately 20 min later and attempted to enter the locked office again. Our assistant then told him to please go away.
Ron proceeded to walk around the commercial office park and tell other business owners and patrons that my partner was rude.
I approached Ron and informed him that he was not welcome at our office and not to enter the or attempt to enter the locked door. Ron replied with "I will go where I want"
Ron then stated that she is Rude and pathetic because "she wont return my call". I informed Ron that we no longer wish to do any future business with him. I informed Ron that if he attempted to enter the office again I would refer this matter to the police. Ron then threatened to cancel our policy which is paid in full. I am unfamiliar with any reason to cancel policy when a customer is paid in full.
I asked Ron to please stop speaking ill of my partner and defaming her to which Ron replied "I will tell everyone".
Ron then called me pathetic. I told Ron not to contact myself or my partner in any manner or the police would be contacted.
I dont believe this is proper practice. Harassment and threatening to cancel my policy for no particular reason seems like a violation of licensing regulations.

If I could give zero stars I would. I called to help client update insurance and we had a terrible experience. We were hung up on twice with distain while the client was attempting to get their car registered. The customer heard her agent getting aggressive on both phone calls. I understand folks need to take breaks, but the customer waited over an hour for a ID Card and Binder that was told could be sent in minutes(typical amount of time to produce these documents). Naturally, we called back, and were met with hostility, and resistance to perform their duties for their customer.Very unprofessional. Customer service should be a priority, and unfortunately these folks missed the boat in this case.

Great insurance agency in Watertown. I've been using Ron and the team at AIA for years for both auto and home insurance, and I highly recommend them!
