They always pick up and confirm the day before picking up my items. Never had a problem. Just wish they would give me more than one bag?

Don't waste your time trying to donate. I recently scheduled a pick up with the VVA after not using them for a bit due to a bad experience. Well sadly, nothing got better with them.
I placed items out on the porch before I left for work, and when I got home at 5pm they were still there. When I placed a call and spoke to a representative, she was very rude and offered no help as to if the items would be picked up or not. This is the third time that this is happened to me and I will never use their services again.

I used them all the time years ago now it's a joke I set up a donation pick up like I always do even gave some info like bags will be by front door and labeled. It's raining all day so I called five hours later after bags sitting there then I get a call saying you didn't answer the phone so driver left. What are they doing if the driver pulled in like all other times there was no need for a phone call just pick up donation. Idiots

I had a scheduled pick up for over a week. Tbey were to come out July 3rd and said between 8 and 5.. No show! Now it's pouring out and everything people could of used is trashed! Never again Good luck VA people who are in need! Oh..now the phone doesn't answer there either...so much for trying to help the Vets

I have had a relationship with Vietnam Vets for several years. They are reliable and will pick up from your home. They have always been very respectful of my home. Donating to Vietnam Vets helps support our Vets, that alone is a very good reason.

I would not recommend donating furniture to them. We called about something being picked up and we covered it with a tarp because it was raining the day they were picking up. the driver uncovered the furniture, didn't take it, then left it on the ground uncovered in the rain and tried to say that's how they found it. Then when we tried to call the people on the other end were no help. So unless you want to end up with ruined furniture and none taking accountability I would donate somewhere else.

DO NOT DONATE HERE. I would give zero stars if I could. We called and asked if they accepted a headboard and additional bed frame pieces. They said yes, leave it outside and marked. We left it outside and clearly marked, covered with a tarp with bungie cords to hold it down because it would be raining. Not only did they not take it, they took the tarp and bungie cords OFF, then proceeded to leave it on the ground in the rain. The driver also took a picture of it like that, and lied and said that was how they found it. So now it not only wasn’t taken, it is ruined.My father fought for this country in Vietnam and later died from complications he sustained from his time in the service. I can’t believe the level of disrespect they showed us and our veterans. Donate somewhere else where people will actually appreciate it.

When using this service, be prepared for them to take only about 75% of the items you leave out for them, even if you purposefully read and followed the accepted items rules. They have twice now used the excuse "not enough space in the truck" even when I scheduled the pick-up as their largest item quantity category (15+ items). Was previously very happy with their service but things seem to have gone downhill.

They dont want your stuff. Give it to someone else. Coordinated a pick up two weeks in advance. Confirmed by email text and by phone. Got up at 0330 and drove from Maine to be at my parents by 0800 only to be told they wouldnt pick up. 0 flexibility 0 caring. Give your stuff to someone else
