A few months ago my boyfriend had brought my late grandfather's humidor (wooden, copper lined smokers stand), in horrible condition, to see if anything could be done with it. It had been subjected to the elements and the top warped and split, literally in half. Mr. Carl Manthey was a very honest and told us that he didn't think the original wood could be saved, but he would try and if not, replace it with another piece. Mr. Manthey communicated with us weekly on the progress and sent us pictures of the humidor, through the different steps he was taking to restore it. I don't know how he managed but he saved the top! This man works magic and I HIGHLY recommend.

Carl repaired a hall tree for me that has been cracked into pieces and shredded by cat claws. He is a wood working artist, not just a refinisher! He cracked the piece apart and glued it it together with all kinds of supports the right way sending me pics of his work along the way! It's stronger now then when it was made 140 years ago. He is a perfectionist. I hate to let the word out, and share him! A truly gifted man, a rare find!

I had an antique side table with a broken leg. Mr Manthey put it back together and gave a clean look to the Mohaginy finish and personal touch. The turn around time was better than expected. I would highly recommend him and his work!

I had a cherished table that had belonged to my Mom while attempting to move it I broke a leg. I did some internet research and reached out to Manthey Furniture. It was a decorative piece, small so I brought it to his shop. No sooner had it been removed from the car he told me when it was produced. Bottom line is I picked it up yesterday. It's a brand new piece, restored like new. I love it even more now. Mom would be blown away.

I contacted Carl the owner after a move from hell. My antique wing chair had the legs snapped off. Carl had to make new ones and you can not tell they were ever broken. My dining room table the apron was broken off . Carl made a new one and matched the green stain perfectly He repaired my grandchildren’s painted play table and you would never know it was broken. Carl is a master, rare today you can find such a quality workmanship The price he charged was very reasonable. I highly recommended
