Based on the recent news I was expecting JCP to look like an Out of Business sale with yellow signs everywhere. Apparently not. The store was business as usual. I went on a day where they were offering a discount on kids clothing (unmarked). I ended picking up (3) JoJo Siwa bows for less than the price of (2). The mall was dead compared to pre-covid so that helped with shorter checkout lines at JCP. I was able to find everything I was looking for and the cashiers were very helpful. I only wish that they better displayed the sale they were having on JoJo Bows. If I didnt happen to price check them I would of never known that they were on sale.

I went into this location recently in search of a dress for a special occasion. I had previously found a dress for New Year's Eve on special here. I came back in hopes of finding another beautiful dress on sale. I got lucky, found one that suited the occasion perfectly, and was on clearance. I also found a pair of matching earrings on sale. The women's dressing rooms were close by and self-serve. My only complaint with the self-serve is that some customers leave the clothes they tried on in the dressing rooms instead of hanging them on the rack they provide when you're done. This of course was pre-covid, so hopefully people are a little bit more mindful now. Each time I'm here, I have had associates who went out of their way to help me locate what I need and to point out where I can grab the best deals. I love coming here just for those reasons

I will never shop at JCPenney ever again. Absolutely poor customer service.

Today was absolutely the worst Sephora experience I've ever had, and I don't plan to come back to this location ever again. There were only three girls working on a Saturday, which is a little crazy to me, considering one of them was held up doing a makeup application. I couldn't find the shade I use for my foundation and asked one girl for help and was told she was new and to ask the girl who was doing the makeup application. I don't care how new you are, I think it should b

I went in to his location to purchase false eyelashes for my baby shower. I walked up to the counter to pay and the associate informed me that they don't put them on for you anymore. I kind of just stared at him and asked why. He said they just don't allow it at that location. Is this some super secret terrible location ? I was so disappointed to say the least.

I love make up and admit I don't know how to apply. I was interested in the Fenty line because I heard it was good for oily skin. I asked one of the girls to help me match my skin color and she pointed to 2 bottles and walked away. I had questions regarding the 2 colors, technics. I chased her down to ask her these questions. I informed her that I would need to get up close to a mirror because I wore my glasses today and would not be able to make a good judgement call can she

I am so thankful an Ulta opened in the next plaza over from this Sephora....because Sephora Waterbury has lost my business! Poor customer service and stock issues are rampant in this store. I went in earlier this week for a palette which was listed in stock on the website. Was told that they had it, but it was not "out" yet. Instead of assisting me, the sales associate told me I could wait in line and "plead" with the manager to sell it to me. Ummm no. Not going to beg to buy your products. This is also the third or fourth time they have not had products in stock or have told me they can't sell me something! I have been a VIB Rouge for years and have spent a lot of money here, but it's no longer worth the trouble and wasted time. Everyone do yourself a favor and go to Ulta- better service and excellent coupons!

I will never go back here . Especially the online pick up service is horrible. I was in line for 40 mins. The associate named "Mo" was helping just 1 other customer and chit chatting. All this while i was waiting with a crying infant . I would give 0 stars if i can . Will never go back again .

Meh. Average JCP in an average mall. Menswear is geared towards younger men (where do older men get nice, affordable dress clothes nowadays, or is everyone expected to wear cargo shorts?) Not the cleanest JCP, with carts of stuff in aisles and tucked into corners. Still, it's better than some of the alternatives.
