I have run in here before for quick purchases but generally never did a full shop here.
Now I know why.
I wanted to do a store pickup and at 1:15 pm it said it was too late. Strike 1.
Ok so I decided I am going to go in. Several of the items on my pickup list were out of stock especially if there was a digital coupon that went with them.
Finding things were a nightmare. Pickled onions were not with the pickles they were with the vegetables. Then I go to check out and the majority of my digital coupons didn't work. Had I done the pickup I would've been screwed because they don't apply the coupons until after you check out.
Very disappointing experience. Too many items in weird nooks and corners. I will not be back

Ordered sandwich wraps from the kitchen for a girls get together at a local winery. Michelle was very helpful with my order and a pleasure to meet. The sandwich wraps were fresh and delicious and didn't cost an arm and a leg! Our favorite was the Deli wrap and the California wrap was a close 2nd. Thanks Michelle and ShopRite!

Store manager demonstrated a wonderful customer service.gesture last Saturday (thanks for the tape!). Only reinforces why this store is my choice since I moved to Wallingford five years ago. I've always been impressed with the products ad the customer servic (both shop from home and in store).

This shoprite located at Wallingford is very nice, no complaints about the store. But the store manager Mike and the assistant are something else, I could say they are racists, the manager's assistant I think is her name is Jessica or Jessy.
On Tuesday, April 24, I had 3 orders for this store from instacart. I was almost finishing the largest orders, I went over to see my shopping cart to pay, and there was ladies who, according to them, is the store manager, yelling at me very loudly and telling me many things in English that I didn't understand. Until a man approached me and said, "Would you like me to help you translate? I answered yes. What the lady is saying is that she is very angry. The lady's problem was that because I left my shopping cart in the way and according to her, products were melting, and she decided without consulting me to put everything back. I was in shock, and she said, "How am I going to take that to the customer?" If I'm crazy and she kept screaming, and the whole store saw her going crazy. I think there are ways to get a customer's attention and not the way she did it was not it. I felt very offended and scared. Later, I went back to the store with my niece so she could ask the assistant manager why she yelled at me. She was really disrespectful, she slammed the door in my niece's face, saying you have to get out of here. Then my sister came, who speaks perfect English, and she talked to her and she said that she was very angry, first because I left shopping cart in a place where I shouldn't have left it and second, and she decided to put everything away . She offended my sister by saying that she had to educate her daughter a little better because the girl has an attitude she is 40 years old, and no one can disrespect her. But she can yell at people who don't speak English. She then told my sister that at this point, you can talk to store manager Mike. I proceeded to talked to him and all what he said was "OKAY" that she was concerned about the food melting . However he didn't do anything for his customers. They both forgot they are cameras and they can see how rude and disrespectful is the assistant manager was towards me. She needs better customer service and to learn how to communicate with the customers, in a nicer way. There are different ways to get your point across. There is no need to yell or scream at anyone, she could’ve gotten her point across by speaking nicely. I don't want her to get fired, but she needs better training and more empathy for customers. I can't believe that no one apologized. She was hiding in the office .
God bless her.
Today it was us, and I'm sure that she will continue to disrespect & offend more customers.
As an assitant manager & manager the goal should be to respect your valuable customers, whether we are colored people or not we are all human beings.
They are not representing the values of shoprite.

Customer service here is by far better than the Southington location. Prices are good considering everything has gotten so expensive these days. The availability of items that I shop for is great. The biggest downside would be the fact that my last visit I spent an hour waiting at the deli counter for my number to be called. Im guessing they were understaffed but with a 3 yr old and 12 yr old standing there for an hour was a little ridiculous.

I have only been there twice. Both times it took forever because the things that I got were on sale and not ringing up. Managers needed to be called over, I had to go and take pictures myself of the sale price because they're telling me it wasn't on sale when it really was. Had to get things refunded and then they refunded things wrong. Saved a little money but not worth the time it took me and all the hassle.

We stopped in to grab a couple things for dinner. Process are fair, something's on par, some slightly more than where we normally go. But the staff was very friendly, and it was a good visit.
