The staff at the Wallingford location went over and beyond to assist me with my purchases. I also observed a customer trying to give an employee a difficult time and the employee handled the situation very professionally and with a smile. This was my first time at this location too. Chris at the register was very very informative and the young lady working with him helped me so much with the questions I had And had a lot of knowledge about our pet hampster I had questions about. Overall because of my experience I will be shopping at this location all of the time. Thank you for all of the help and guidance.

I've been a loyal customer of Petco for years. Today I walked in showed the clerk an item from the aquarium asked if she had a replacement part for it and she said I have no idea. then I proceeded to ask for help in the fish department and she said there's no one to help you, she couldn't care less. I will not be back ever to the store again if that's how they treat their customers. So much for customer service.

Ripped dog food bags tapped back up is unacceptable- I usually have a fine experience at this Petco except 2 of the times I’ve purchased dog food online to pick up in store. On 2 different occasions I picked up dog food that I ordered online and was given dog food bags with rips in them that were taped back up. This is completely unacceptable to me. If anything, sell it as a damaged product, so the customer can choose whether or not they still want to purchase the item. Also, staff should be trained on how to help customers with online purchases. It’s not helpful when they know absolutely nothing about online purchases and have poor customer service about it.

Vetco for my cat he needed his booster and distemper shot in and out in 15 min had to wait about 5 min due to being early but they took care of me quickly and efficiently thank you vetco

Had a horrible experience today at this store. The manager at this petco called the cops on me just cause I was moving my hands while talking, claiming I was pointing at the Vetco staff and talking and claimed I offended the Vetco staff, when none of the Vetco folks said anything like that. Instead of being hearing a customers complaint and to getting it resolved, she was acting all bossy and lied saying I offended her staff and kept pointing at her staff. When I asked her how did I offend her staff she couldn’t answer me. Same way I told her yes I move my hands while talking that isn’t like pointing fingers at them, she then threatened to call the police and did call the police. I waited for the police and explained to them what transpired and the police felt that Vetco/ petco should have helped to get my issue resolved instead of trying to get me to run in circles.Don’t use Vetco, they try to take your money by selling vaccines and treatment you don’t need, they’ll will sell you a package then say we can’t give all the vaccines at the same time and then tell you to come back after 2 weeks and when you show up a few weeks later they’ll say no you didn’t buy a package, so now you have to pay again. I showed them the receipt and even told them to compare the price between 2 different pets for whom we got the very same package and when we asked them why the vaccines weren’t given at the same time they said the puppy was too small and can’t get 2 vaccines at the same time and claimed we didn’t buy a package and told us to pay again. When I told them to check with the other clinic that gave the prior vaccine, to get it clarified if it was indeed a package that was bought they refused to do that claiming they didn’t have that info when the records clearly had the names of the people who did the previous vaccines. The manager of this petco refused to give the name of the previous person who vaccinated my dog though it was available to them, instead she for no apparent reason told me to leave the store and called the cops on me claiming falsely that I offended her staff and pointed my finger at them and spoke. This manager didn’t know how to properly handle a customer complaint and to deescalate a situation tactfully and instead aggravated the situation by call the police on a false complaint just because I was a darker skinned person. I never until now felt racism in this country but felt that at the hands of this manager woman. She was plain rude and didn’t even bother to look at my receipts and to get my issue resolved but just straightaway told me to leave the store as it was her store and she was in charge.Don’t use Vetco, they try to sell you more than what your pet actually needs, sell you a package act like as though they are saving you money and claim they are giving you a discount and then not give the vaccine, will tell you to come back later then when you go back, it’ll be another team there and they’ll claim you didn’t pay for the package and will try to get you to pay again and rip you off. They use like a bait and switch policy, so be very very careful when using Vetco through petco.This manager at the Wallingford petco needs to be trained on how to resolve customer issues in a polite way and without lying and being rude and calling cops on customers who have a Legitimate issue and claim. Horrible customer service overall.Avoid Wallingford Petco, that manager woman will call the cops on you for no apparent reason except to show she’s the boss there. Horrible customer service over all, don’t go if you don’t want to get ripped off and be arrested for no apparent reason except that the manager woman got offended cause you use your hands when you talk.

Watch your expiration dates as they don't take expired food off the shelf. I will never shop there again

The groomers are not friendly or helpful! I brought my puppy in for cut and bath and no one offered to do the service! Horrible customer service!
