Great food and great people running it. I highly recommend trying it out. The only problem is if you decide to eat there there is limited seating options.

I love this store, not because I’m a Fil-Am, but because they are so friendly and reliable with getting my Balikbayan box to my mom safely. I also love all the food they have.

Missing Filipino food, we drove 20 something miles from Hartford, CT to this aptly named Kayumangi authentic Filipino restaurant in Wallingford. We had freshly cooked tilapias, adobo, dinuguan, lechon kawali, ginataang langka and of course rice ! We are nine satisfied customers! Thank you Atching Angie for feeding us authentic Kapampangan food! Oh, for dessert we had the just out of the oven cassava cake and leche flan! Happy tummies!

Tell any Caucasian about food made with pig’s blood and they’ll say “No, thank you “. Make them taste dinuguan without descriptions and they’ll love it! Kayumangi cooked it with the right spicy-ness. The lumpiang shanghai was done perfectly , I had to bring some home.?

I'm not in the habit of driving within 25 yards of Neil's Donuts when I know they're closed. But if I do, it's because I was craving lumpia or other Filipino food from Kayumangi Authentic Filipino ("KAF"). KAF is a small Filipino Market, that serves a number of prepared Filipino foods cafeteria style, and they also have a kitchen for preparing some additional menu items. I hadn't visited since before the Pandemic, but I felt KAF's lumpia calling me this week. I arrived around 5:30 and I was the only customer at that time. The cafe part of the business is in the back. There are a few tables for dining in. The atmosphere is decent, but not a selling point since the Market's merchandise is in view. Service is a hybrid model. I've always ordered at the cash register. For food that's ready, they just plate it and bring it to you. If you order from the menu, they prepare it and bring it to you. However, it's not the type of place where they bring you a glass of water and occasionally refill it. It's more like you're eating at Chipotle, except they bring your food to you. I ordered lumpia and Menudo. If you haven't had lumpia, they look similar to fried spring rolls. KAF's are filled with what seems like a cooked pork and veggie mixture that is mostly meat. It's crispy and tasty. KAF's Menudo is a stew of pork chunks, liver, potatoes, carrots, peas, etc. It tastes like a dish you might get at a Filipino friend's house. The meat and veggies were tender and the sauce was mild and savory. When I score a place like Kayumangi, I don't compare it to sit down restaurants. I compare it to other small food markets that happen to serve food. Another thing in Kayumangi's favor is that I'm not aware of other Filipino options in the nearby areas. With those caveats, I give Kayumangi 4 Stars and I will return when the mood strikes me.

I got the beef kare kare and all it it with a friend - loved the flavors and appreciated the mix of meat with vegetables. The sauce was hit the spot with rice. Also got lumpia. All in all a great price for a homey down to earth vibe, friendly customer service, and wholesome food.

A small shop/restaurant in a strip mall that has pretty good food and lovely people. There's a grocery section with lots of Filipino foods and pantry items, and a frozen section with Ube ice cream and homemade lumpia! Our group dined in and was overall impressed with most everything. They had around eight dishes of ready to eat food (sinigang, dinuguan, chicken adobo, etc.) and some fried stuff, but also had a menu with many other items. From that we got the crispy pata, pancit bihon, longsilog, bangsilog. The silogs come with two fried eggs and fried rice--fried rice was so yummy. Pancit bihon was also delicious and not dry at all, but I'd say skip the crispy pata. Food came out quick. Had a good meal and picked up some stuff from the grocery section on the way out. Would recommend.

If you’re Filipino, it tastes like home. If you’ve never had Filipino food, dont hesitate, it’s delicious. This restaurant has a family feel to it and the service is professional— theres both a sit in and catering menu. I can’t say enough good things.

This place is great. Half filipino grocery store half filipino restaurant. The food definitely reminded me of home and definitely made me happy. 10 out of 10 would recommend. The only thing I didn't like that its an hour away from where I live.
