Now they are merged with Finex Credit Union, I have been unsuccessful to speak with someone. I called over 20xs in the past hour and no one answered and I’m not exaggerating. I can’t access my account or speak to anyone this is absurd.

Only visited the website to look at interest rates on share/saving accts. Pretty dismal compared to others.

WHERE IS THE ZERO OR THE NEGATIVE NUMBERS??. I have never felt so disrespected, belittled, stereotyped and placed in such a small box by any institution before today. I have banked with First Connecticut for close to 15 years, maybe more. It used to be a welcoming environment where the tellers rememberd me even if I haven't been in for a while and we would always engage in conversations referring back to our last.I went in yesterday for a bank check. I was there today to cash that same check that was in my name because the establishment that i intended it for only a cepted cash. I was told that they could not cash it because it was made out to me and I would have to deposit it somewhere else. WHERE, THIS IS MY BANK!! Manager comes to explain that they have no way of knowing if I attempted to deposit it somewhere else, they have had issues in the past with people attempting to do bank fraud, welfare fraud, child support fraud and they've lost hundreds of dollars. HUNDREDS?! etc.....My account has never had an issue nor have i ever received any of those. He then asked, snarkingly, why I did not take the cash out instead on the day before. I could only assume that they looked at the color of my skin and figured I was up to no good, with my own money. This is the warm reception that a longstanding account holder receives.

not the best service. you cant find a teller anywhere. The lobby us open there are employees but no service.

BE VERY WARY OF TAKING AN AUTOLOAN WITH THEM. If you fall behind they will call any number of people who they have numbers for in their system. I have been contacted numerous times by Jim from collections about a matter that does not concern me, nor am I listed on the loan.

Jim is extremely unprofessional, he will talk over you while you’re on the phone and hang up with you when you are simply trying to explain an error on their end.The first Connecticut credit union portal is a nightmare.Been a member for five years and it’s been nothing but issues.I wish I could give them zero stars.

The loan payment portal is an absolute mess. I went to make my loan payment this month and the website charged me twice. I called to explain this and get a refund and the woman who answered basically said it was my fault and I must have paid it twice and I’d have to call back in 5 business days to get my refund. I got into contact with another employee and he said the same thing and that “it’s only x amount of dollars” and I said he doesn’t get to determine what that amount means to me. It was extremely rude and unprofessional. I’m going to pay my loan off as soon as it gets low enough to pay it outright so I never have to deal with these people again. Terrible business.

called about an issue I was having and the woman on the phone told me to go f*** myself. Went down there to discuss the situation and the manager didn't care. She said she heard the phone call but didn't seem to care about her disrespectful employee. I need to call them again about another issue I am having but would rather let the issue remain than attempt to get any type of customer service from them.
