First I want to say Lenny is an amazing person! His passion is unmatched, and his staff is top notch! From the moment I walked through the door with my 4 month old male boxer I knew I had found the best of the best. (The terrific things I heard helped as well) The attention to detail of both myself and my dog, Colt were amazing. Lenny and his team noticed immediately Colt was a hard driven worker and afraid of nothing. He caught on very quickly and off we went thanks to their experience in identifying the needs of every dog. After our last session . Last May, Colt got sick and just recently got back to normal. Thankfully!Anyone looking for or trying to decide on a training facility either basic puppy training or obedience training, I would look not further!

Erich is a great dog trainer but more importantly he explains everything so that you can understand the why behind the training. Highly recommended

We started going to Lenny shortly after my fiancé and I got engaged with the goal of living together with our 2 dogs. I have a 9 y.o. female Border Collie that is fearful aggressive towards other dogs. My fiancé has a 6 y.o. male Golden Doodle who is very friendly and playful. We worked on “team building” exercises and worked on our dog’s confidence. We graduated to group distraction classes as we continue to work with our dogs at home. If you had asked me a year ago I would have thought this to be impossible! We just spent an hour together as a family of 4 OFF LEASH without any negative interactions. So grateful for Lenny and his great program! Would without a doubt recommend Canine Cadre for any dog!

I have know Lenny since the 1970s, he was great back then and is even better today. A couple years ago I took my two puppy german shepherds to him. I found the training to be well organized and effective. A couple of weeks ago my son was in the yard when one of the GS chased 2 bear cubs up a tree. My son recognized the danger and started to run for the stairs while calling his dog. His dog immediately listened and followed him up the stairs. So did the mamma bear. My son and his dog got in the house just as the bear was half way up the stairs. Had the dog not followed his command immediately this would have been awful. I will always bring my dogs to Lenny!

I want to thank and applaud Lenny for all he has done for my puppy training with my headstrong female German Shepard. He not only trained my puppy, but reminded me how important it is to train the humans to work cooperatively and consistently to positively motivate the dog to achieve the desired behavior. My girl is amazing. I also appreciated the unending opportunities to socialize my dog to a variety of situations and participate in his famous distraction classes that are so popular with all his clients. . I have referred many people to him and will continue to do so. He is an amazing teacher, mentor and trainer and I am so grateful to have him as a resource for my best friend.

Worst trainer, don’t waste your money. Did nothing for my dog! If you’re content with spending a ton of money to sit and listen to someone talk about how great he is and then he never takes your leash and actually show you how to train, then this guy is for you! Complete waste of money and time. He was more concerned about telling us about his failed music career than training our dog. We spent all our sessions in a chair across from him at his desk taking notes that he read out of a 1980’s binder. I’m sure back in the day he maybe was ok but i honestly wouldn’t waste your time! I’ve since found a trainer who worked with both me and my dog. I learned more from her in one home lesson than I did with him in 6 “lessons”. I normally would not make any comments like this but I’ve noticed he is opening a facility in my town and it just triggered me to warn my locals! Find Beth at Ridgehill Animal Hospital and you won’t be disappointed! Also with her you pay by session not upfront! Good luck if you don’t listen. Don’t say you weren’t warned.

Lenny has been phenomenal for our mastiff. We brought her in at 10 weeks, she was feisty, mouthy and could pull me across the room. We are now working with canine cadre on therapy dog training for her. We have worked through advanced training with Lenny and continue to go for enrichment for our big girl. She can’t get out of the car fast enough when we pull in. She now walks on a leash without pulling and is so well mannered and socialized. Puppy social and distraction class were amazing for her and us. I went in frustrated with an adorable puppy and continue to go as a bonded team with a sweet, happy, well mannered giant lap dog.

Lenny Paquette is the best of the best when it comes to dog training. He truly knows what a dog is thinking and is able to modify a dog's behavior through obedience training and distraction classes. I have learned so much from his expertise. I only wish I knew about Canine Cadre when we had our other dogs. Every dog gets individualized attention from Lenny and his team. The training my GSD receives at Canine Cadre is far superior to any other trainer I have dealt with in the past. Being a dog behaviorist, Lenny taught me how to handle my very stubborn German Shepherd puppy. I'm happy to report that my dog has changed his behavior 180 degrees. I highly recommend Canine Cadre as the only dog training facility you will ever need.

My husband & I have had dogs all of our lives, 40 of those years together with 8 of them. Our most recent senior golden retriever is a handful - happy dog with lots of exuberance. We’ve had health problems, and the on-leash training he had as a puppy didn’t get reinforced/practiced. We have a fenced in backyard, and we haven’t had to take him anywhere lately until recently. However, he’s going to need some vet visits because of arthritis.Kat gave us the best advice I’ve ever had which is to start him off-leash first with easy to follow instructions for us. She advised us to make it fun! None of the past dog trainers ever had us start our dogs off-leash first which makes sense! A simple ‘sit-stay-I walk ahead-call him-sit-stay-reward.’ ‘Rinse repeat’ around the backyard then play time! It’s working! Thanks to Kat! We’d highly recommend her.

It is very strange to me to see only 5-star reviews for Canine Cadre. I brought my dog in after a friend recommended Lenny and paid up front for the 10 individual classes and supposedly "unlimited" group sessions. Every time we met, Lenny spent a long time trying to convince me to buy this or that expensive tool, such as a specific leather leash, a raised cot because the one we already had was not the same brand, a steel "car-safe" lead, etc. He wanted me to change the hand signals for commands that my dog already understood and responded to because they were different from the ones he uses. We attended weekly individual lessons and literally the only thing we got from it was that now my dog knows how to climb up and down the agility ramp. He wanted me to install a permanent tether into my wall to force my dog to stay so she would learn "place". This entire class is about breaking your dog's spirit. When we "graduated" from individual classes and attended our first group lesson, my dog was extremely distracted and excitable. We had not been prepared AT ALL for group lessons and when I tried to reach out for more assistance - when this was one of the first issues I had asked to address at enrollment - he tried to sell me on paying for more individual lessons. In addition to the waste of time and money from classes, Lenny would go on extremely racist and sexist tangents - about how people with certain color skin are more likely to attack you, how single women need guard dogs to protect them, etc. This was during the beginning of COVID and he would tell me I didn't need to wear a mask when I was there, so I finally bought and wore a rainbow mask that said "science is real, black lives matter, women's rights are human rights" and he realized I was not the correct target for his rants.Buyer beware.

Waste of money, might as well throw money in the garbage, very unprofessional, answering phone calls constantly while in session with my dog, not very attentive, go anywhere else but this place, horribly disappointing.

Our 2yr old rotti started having some trust and protective aggression with strangers particularly. With the tools Kat has given us , he has improved and I know will continue to with our daily work. Our boy loved going to see Kat each week! Would recommend canine cadre, was worth the drive!

Lenny was amazing with my kids and my dog! My GSD had some aggression issues while in the car. We saw improvement after the first lesson. We were given the tools that we need to have a well trained pup for our family. I can not recommend Canine Cadre enough! Thank you!!!!

Canine Cadre has personalized training and is so motivating. Lenny and Erich and the team are amazing humans. Mitey the German Shepherd Dog loves going. They have taught me so much and we are progressing each week. I highly recommend Canine Cadre for a whole dog and whole family approach to handling your pup or shaping behavior.
