Always quick and efficient service. Never an issue.

Can’t even do the simplest of tasks. They take 0 accountability when the issue is clearly their fault. I set up a package to be picked up in store…they gave it to my carrier for redelivery. The heavyset guy who just lingers around in the background and does absolutely nothing gave me an attitude and he didn’t like it when I gave him one back. These people are great examples of government employees.

Incompetent management and staff. Ive had to deal with multiple packages lost and returned to sender because when my normal carrier is off the floaters(subs) can't do their job. Management does not call to resolve or appoligize the situation. Even after multiple calls and attempts to go to the post office, all supervisors and the post master are never available.

Employees were extremely nice and helped me tape up my box and get it sent off in a timely manner. Thank you for your help. Nice helpful people.

They lose most the mail.they get that's supposed to be delivered. I don't get most of my mail. They have no idea where my tax return check is and they do not provide informed mail delivery. I am going to be contacting the federal postal service about this location today and reporting their complete incompetence.

Was expecting a parcel to be delivered and I got a notification "cannot deliver couldn't access" I'm sitting there saying what you can't climb 3stairs? So I go to the post office and ask 3hours later and they told me "the trucks haven't come back yet" then I asked "can you look at the tracking number?" The people were too lazy to type in a tracking number take my name or even walk up 3stairs to deliver

I have several demands for the Torrington post office going forward. First, I want pictures of how it used to look, because it must have been fancy. The public post office is made up of three rooms - lobby in the middle, retail shop on the right, and post office boxes on the left. There are these heavy duty wooden tables by the post office boxes who must have been used on both sides at one point (they're now pushed against the wall). The airplane-like windows must have looked so modern at one point. There are also other doors. Did they used to go somewhere? Was a small cafe attached on the left side of the building, explaining what looks like a separate entrance? Did the walls once hold more art? To my second demand, I want information about the current art. What is up now looks like pieces (imagined) of local boy who tried really hard to do good, John Brown. They're really interesting, and deserve a plaque with more information! As the post office actually is though - the drive up mailbox is a winter godsend, but has a fun tight corner to get to the drop slot. Prepare to lean. Parking is always available, and the retail shop has more postal purchasing opportunities than anywhere else I've seen since 2005. No late hours, but if you need stamps or shipping material they'll have it here!

The manager David is very rude and unprofessional when it comes to his job . Your job is to provide great customer service and if you can't provide that in a professional way then you are in the wrong business.

Excellent, efficient and knowledgeable staff. I have never lost anything in the US mail. This is a very busy post office and I've never had to wait much. They always ask me about the type of postage I need, and sometimes make very useful suggestions that either save me time or money. Thank you.

Ridiculously busy year-long. Whilst post offices even in rural areas with low demand are installing vending machines as for stamps and such, this high traffic urban hub clings to overwhelmed human labor over automation. The upside is that the human employees are very courteous. On sale are basic packing supplies, and holiday cards. The counter stocks several forms as for Customs declarations and insurance. One distinguishing feature of this location are the two historical paintings depicting scenes from idealized Connecticut history. On site are also many post office boxes and a bulletin board with local notices thereupon.
