I had a dead battery and took my 2017 rav4 in as this was an 84 month battery that was 16 months old. This was the third battery in 43,000 miles. Battery 1 was replaced under warranty on 8/6/19 with no charge, battery 2 failed on 1/13/22, and I was charged $143.94 prorated warranty and installation. That battery failed 16 months later. Torrington Toyota refused to warranty an 84 month battery after 16 months use.

I want to give credit to the Service Team and to David, Corey, Glenn and the rest of the crew. We had a maintenance related issue with our Highlander and in the end, the service team came through to resolve the issue with their customer in mind. I know we have all been there, purchasing a car and being told by the dealership that we are "family" blah blah blah, but I witnessed this with Torrington Toyota and I was impressed with their attention to detail, follow up, and overall care in the matter to resolve our vehicle related issue. Having people to back your purchase up is just as important as the purchase itself, and Torrington Toyota came through. Extra shout out to Glenn for just holding our hands through the scenario.

I inquired about a 2022 Tacoma TRD Sport that I saw on the website. The car hadn't been delivered yet but I was sent the spec sheet and knew I wanted it having already test drove one a few months ago. I initially dealt with Randy and he reserved the truck for me. Then was handed off to Tee. Both of them are awesome and really great guys. I reached out to the dealership to request the purchase order ahead of the delivery date so I could get the ball rolling on my financing. It was Tee's day off so I unfortunately had to work with Dan Urso. This is where the deal went sour. I received the purchase order and the "Retailer's Conveyance Fee" was unreasonable at $699 and there was also a Vin Etch charge at $199. I tried to negotiate the Conveyance Fee down to $500 and said I did not want the the Vin etch. Danny called me and said they wouldn't negotiate either. I said I was no longer interested. I ended up speaking to Tee the following day when he was back and he initially said since the vehicle hadn't arrived so he could have the vin etch charge removed. Apparently when the vehicles arrive at the dealership, they immediately etch them so they can charge customers this bogus $200 fee that costs them probably $5 to do. At that point I was willing to pay the $699 conveyance fee as long as the vin etch was removed. He then reached out and said Danny was unwilling to remove the vin etch. Talk about a sleazy move. I know they don't care because the vehicle will sell regardless and some other person will get charged the extra fees and will pay them. However I just hope this review reaches the Yelp audience to show a typical dealership pulling their scumbag ways. P.S., make sure Tee and Randy get their $17 for the only positive part of this review. Or do they only get that for Google reviews?

Had a great experience with Randy K at Torrington Toyota. Even though I purchased the car sight unseen, Randy communicated with me throughout the whole process and was quick to provide information and updates about the status of my vehicle. He made the whole process easy and seamless. I would highly recommend Randy K and Torrington Toyota during your next vehicle purchase.

THE BEST DEALERSHIP!! If you want a "Family-like" dealership, you want to come here. Everyone treats you with the utmost respect and are so friendly! I have been a repeat customer and cannot say enough great things about this place. Dave, Danny, Tee, Corey, Chris and everyone else are ABSOLUTELY THE BEST!!! The other Toyota dealerships I have dealt with were the worst. Torrington Toyota by far is the best from their sales department to their service department to their body shop. Highly, highly recommend!!!

Truly a great experience and car dealership, typically aren't used in the same breath. Just about every interaction starting with the salesperson, Tee, who was always available to answer questions or research the answer he also kept me informed of the delivery dates as they approached. One of the partners, David also kept the process on a "family-personal" basis rather then acting like a stereotypical dealer. That said I'd recommend Torrington Toyota and Tee hands down!
