The operator of this salvation army came to speak at a group I was attending a couple years ago. I am not sure if he still runs it, but what he told us was amazing. They basically revolve their entire lives around helping people in need. What they get paid for it is barely enough to support their own family, but their passion for what they do keeps them going. This particular food bank, on Oak St., most people in our town don't even know about, yet it offers above and beyond what the others do. Food, toiletries, diapers, and supplies when available. I called once for a friend to see if they could help with work boots, and they offered to pay for a pair with a voucher! They also help with bills, when they can. Basically if you go to them in need, they will do what ever is in their power to help you, out of pure love.
