I recently had fraudulent activity on my account, the teller I had spoken to said that he has the case numbers from when I called it in and that he would hold on to the form until I returned with a copy of the police report that I had told him I was waiting on. Well he didn’t wait he submitted it and I was denied and then I was told rudely by the manager I wouldn’t get my money back anyway… so I said ok if that’s the case I closed out my account took my money and went and opened up a account with another bank. Wasn’t the first time I had an issue with this bank, had enough to where it was the last. Zero stars if I could

Closed the location on one side of town making it very difficult for everyone on that side of town to get up the other hill to the one branch. Plus the people on the phone are so rude!

Didn't like the switchover cause I don't like green ? but banked with peoples for 12 years. Patty is an absolute Saint of a woman, so helpful to me ALL the time and so friendly, and the crew just makes you feel like family. Wouldn't change my bank ever!

I came in for an issue with a debit card. I was told it was fixed only to be left in a grocery store check out line unable to pay 2 days before a holiday. I had to use a credit card designated for emergencies. I then went back to the bank to address the issue and was met with nothing but an attitude. This isn't the first issue I've had. They also shut down my card in another country when I had notified them in writing I would be on a business trip. Do not put your money in this bank. Ill be switching after the first of the year.

I’ve never had an issue with peoples bank however, today at this location the teller talked down to me like I was stupid and was very disrespectful and straight up rude. I will no longer be suggesting this bank.

3 previous visits to this bank, employee's were courteous, friendly & kind. The branch manager, arguementative, condescending & rude. As long as you avoid her, you're good.

This Bank will nickle and dime you with all sorts of hidden fees, along with that you can expect them to stack your debits and deposits in order to attempt to cause more fees. Stay away, after attempting to correct errors on their part, they took no ownership. They actually change dates on deposits, and transactions..no customer service from their call center in Bridgeport, and the Bank Manager took no care to correct their own errors and no care to retain a customer.

I have been going to the Stop and Shop location and their former location by Applebees for years. I love the fact I can go there on a Sunday and handle my banking business. Over the hundreds of times I have visited there, all my interactions have been positive.

Disregarded information that was being told to them,had another branch call to fix their mistake and doing so messed my account up and any negative problems were my responsibility. Last time I use any branch in Torrington and sad because I have been a long standing customer.
