On the Rocks used to be located across the street from the post office. It has since moved to Water Street, and is now located on the corner across from what used to be a gym of some sort. Parking is pretty easy - you can generally just pull right up. Just look out your sideview mirror before opening your door, incoming traffic is unfazed by your presence and moves quickly. There are pay parking meters. Inside is a bit boxy, but plenty of space to move around. There are big coolers of beer, lots of liquor, and a limited wine selection. That being said, the wine is affordable, most were under $20 if not closer to $15ish. If you need a quick bottle for a bargain, this is a good place to go!

My new favorite package store in town. Good selections and friendly service. What amazed me was the live music playing in the background. What I thought was the radio playing at first was actually a very talented pianist in the back of the store. Will be returning back soon.

I used to love this place - however, after REALLY paying attention these past 3 days in a row the only positive thigh I can say is that they stay open later than ANYWHERE else down town (mind you, I used to work at 2 of the & stores downtown less than a yr ago) abd Saturday I was told $30-something, Sunday I was told $25 and some change, today I was told $32.18 - yet each day I bought the exact samr thing - at least I know at colonial I only have to worry about that when that kid Joe is working!!!!!!!

One of many minimalist liquor stores that dot Torrington's townscape. It's a very small store, but manages to keep a relatively decent selection of beverages considering the confined space. The parking situation is awful, unfortunately, as you will have to tear up onto the sidewalk like you're about to provide an escape car for a nearby heist. But no one seems to mind, and this seems to be the norm here at On the Rocks. On the plus side, you can get your hooch, get your mail across the street, and hopefully not get hit by another thirsty customer on your way out. Convenience and inconvenience all at once.
