John is the best! Great pricing and was very flexible on scheduling. He took great care in both the disassembly and reassembly of our pool table. His years of experience showed from his meticulous and methodical process. He triple-checked every measurement. Lastly, he even touched up the pockets, which had been worn from our table tennis top.

I am glad I got my pool table from John. He is very responsive and was on time for the delivery. He is certainly a perfectionist and excellent at his craft.Side note: I will agree with another reviewer who stated that he made the right decision of hiring John instead of buying a table online from places like craigslist. I would recommend reaching out to John and spend the extra few bucks. I will guarantee that you will not regret it.

John is great to work with! He really knows the billiard business. He was wonderful with coming to our house quickly to disassemble our pool table and very conscientious when he came to assemble it back together. His reassembly was a two step process to let the pool table sit on the new carpet for awhile to make sure it was settled and the table was able to be leveled much more efficiently. I would highly recommend his services!

Jon is a truly maginificent find if you have any sort of pool/snooker/billiard table work to undertake. He is extremely reliable, enthusiatic and a fountain of knowledge. He took great care and delight in re-covering and servicing my antique snooker table, even coming in at under his original quote. He was very prompt in ordering what I needed, and took an hour less than he had estimated to complete the work. We will have many happy years of playing now and I heartily recommend him for any sort of table work..he has moved, serviced and installed hundreds of tables and has some great stories to tell too.

We imported a second-hand full-size snooker table to our home in Millbrook NY from England last fall (2018). After adding a new room over the garage to house the monster, we were let down by the first "expert" we called who insisted he could set the table up for us but could not. We turned to John Palmer at On The Level Billiards in Torrington CT who came through for us like a champion. He came to our house--at least an hour's drive for him--on 3 separate occasions in late autumn in some lousy weather but he was always on time. He did an absolutely masterful job leveling up the table & compensating for some serious shortcomings in the new cloth for the rails, among other issues with an older table that had weathered a transatlantic journey. John is a perfectionist & we're grateful for it since snooker is such a game of precision. We continue to turn to him for advice, e.g. how high above the table to install the lights. And he always responds instantly. He has been a life-saver for us since--after spending a small fortune to secure the table & add a room to our home--without John Palmer our prize snooker table might still be waiting for the first break. We feel very fortunate indeed to have found a true expert as well as a very nice guy. Thank you, John!

Jon is a true craftsman when it comes to anything billiards. I wouldn't trust my table to anyone else. Jon has this down to a science and pays so much attention to detail. If Jon can't do it, it can't be done. You will never meet anyone more fair or honest, it's a rare trait these days.

I was originally going to buy a pool table off of Craigslist. After looking at a table, I realized that it was not a good idea. To move a pool table, you need to remove all of the slate and take the entire thing apart. Once in its new location, I would have had to level the table exactly, replace all of the slate, and then have the felt replaced. Luckily, after that, I found the On The Level Billiards website. I called John and set up an appointment with him to look at his pool tables. My wife and I went to the appointment and we were thoroughly impressed with John's knowledge of pool tables. John showed us his inventory and we found one that was exactly what we were looking for. We set up a delivery time and date and John was there to the minute. He had the pool table set up very quickly. The new felt looked fantastic. We have had the pool table now for 8 months and it still looks great and it functions perfectly. My family love playing pool and it has provide lots of hours of enjoyment. I recommend John without reservation.
