It has everything that I want in a fitness center. Friendly, helpful and welcoming staff, a clean facility, and great equipment for every level. Coach and the personal trainer Dan are knowledgeable, encouraging and wonderful to work with. I highly recommend Nautilus Plus Fitness and Tanning Center!

Nautilus Plus Fitness and Tanning is the gem of the Northwest corner of CT. It is the cleanest training facility I have ever been in and all the equipment is in tip top shape. There are plenty of machines, benches and free weights as well as battle ropes, tires and boxes. There is something for everyone here. Coach K has been a positive influence on my family and the community. Thanks for all you do Coach!!.

This is the best gym I've ever used to train. Coach is terrific, the people are super nice, and Dan is really skilled at personal training. I have exceeded all of my goals, ones I didn't even think were possible. I couldn't have done it without this gym, it is the real deal. A real lifting gym. Once I walked in, I felt instantly comfortable. A big thank you to Coach and Dan for being just the BEST!

Good Solid, friendly gym. They have great equipment. Power racks. Deadlift platform. Benches. Cable stations. Even a conditioning room with boxes, tires, boxing, ropes, sleds, etc.Only complaints are that you have to bring your own water and the carpet in the locker room is funky.. I'd rather have just concrete.

Having grown up in Northwest CT, but moved several times across the country over the past 15 years and held memberships at numerous gyms, I can say without doubt, this is the best gym I've ever trained at. Every time I come back to town, I try and get back here for at least one workout. The gym is not cluttered, well-organized, clean, and relatively quiet. As for the fantastic classic Nautilus machines throughout this gym - you won't find them anywhere else, and coach (the owner) keeps these is great working order. A lot of gyms can take on a thunder dome-like atmosphere, with people taking plates, camping out on equipment and machines at-will, slamming weights, not de-racking their plates - this gym and its owner have made sure to create an atmosphere that is largely free of all of this. It truly makes the workout experience much better! Its a great gym to lift weights, with every piece of equipment you could ever need or want. The owner and staff are all very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. I would absolutely recommend checking this gym out if your looking for a place in the area!

I have been going to Nautilus Plus for nearly thirty years; first as a child when my father would work out, and then later as an adult for my own training. I have been to gyms across the country, and I can confidently say that this is still the best gym I’ve been to for those who are serious about building muscle or getting in shape. The owner and his staff are extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of fitness. This gym also has equipment that you simply cannot find anywhere, including full lines of Nautilus Nitro, Hammer Strength, and original Nautilus machinery to complement a large selection of traditional free-weight, powerlifting, and cardio equipment. This gym is very clean and well organized, and members have very good gym etiquette -- which, in my experience, is greatly lacking in most large gym chains. I would recommend this gym to anyone who is seriously trying to improve their fitness, and who want to work out in a friendly, respectful environment.

I joined Nautilus earlier this year in February. I have loved my experience thus far! They have some really unique machines that I couldn't find at other local gyms. The Hammer Strength T-Bar rowing machine is probably my favorite. The owner keeps the place very clean and the culture there is supportive for both new and experienced lifters. All around solid gym.

Highly recommended! I joined Nautilus 4 months ago and I have throughly enjoyed each workout here. The atmosphere is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and there is always a helping hand nearby. The gym is clean and everything you could need is found here.They also have a personal trainer/nutritionist at hand who is very helpful! Dan has helped me reach my personal goals and has taught me so much about fitness.

I started going to Nautilus Plus about six months ago after having shoulder replacement surgery. I found Nautilus after looking at other fitness businesses in the area. Nautilus was what I was looking for a clean well-equipped facility without distractions. The Nautilus facility is very well equipped, has very well-maintained machines, free weights, Cardio machines, squat racks, cable machines etc... A full line of Nautilus machines, Hammer Strength equipment round out the gym.It's a great place for all levels of fitness enthusiasts, from seriously heavy lifters to those who want to stay in shape and tone up their bodies and lose a couple of pounds.The other great thing about Nautilus Plus is the friendly atmosphere and the owner's willingness to help use the machines properly to get the maximum results. if you're looking for a great workout and a great workout place, I recommend Nautilus Plus Fitness and Tanning.

I had just moved to the area and I really liked the gym when initially walking in. It’s Older gym with old equipment, which is what I like, it feels like a real lifters gym. Upon meeting the owner who goes by “coach” he proceeded to explain a bunch of rules to my gf and I then he charged us $20 to workout when they closed in 35 minutes.(it was our first time ever being here and we were interested in joining). Not only that I had done one set of a close grip cable pull down and was VERY cautious when bringing the cable back to the top after my set. Reason I did this is because he heavily emphasized this being a recent problem and one of their top rules. (the plates barley made a sound when they touched bringing the cable back to the top). He proceeded to walk over and correct me and said to not drop or slam the weights back on the cable machine. I’m 30 years old I’ve been lifting weights for well over 15 years and am a certified PT. Anyone who does progressive training, high volume training or strength training is not going to risk injury gently setting down heavy weights after an intense set. There’s definitely a difference from slamming weights to respectfully setting them down without risking unnecessary injury. On top of that “coach” jumped on a cardio machine and literally watched us for the entirety of our workout (this was super awkward and we felt like we were being babysat in a gym). Not to mention this made my girlfriend very uncomfortable. Coach definitely wasn’t very friendly or welcoming. There are signs literally all over the gym that say no dropping or slamming weights and if you’re squatting in a free weight squat rack a spot is REQUIRED. This place has more rules than planet fitness. If you’re serious about working out or bodybuilding find another gym to go to.

Love the gym, owner is very nice. No hidden fee’s, can pay cash and is reasonably Priced, and has any equipment you can think of.
