When our mother passed away, it took many months for probate to kick in. During that time some of her bills could not be addressed. Her insurance was one of them, but we assumed we could pick it back up once probate accepted out case.Not so. “Like a good neighbor, Statefarm is there...” might just be a jingle. We had a death in our family and it takes a bit to get the court to accept your case but when we went to reinstate our policy, we got the cold shoulder. It was more like “Like a good neighbor, Statefarm told us to call a private broker...” not as catchy of a jingle, sadly. They wouldn’t insure the house during probate and wouldn’t really explain why. Having used Statefarm for my own home, I had to take a hard look at the façade here.... was it just a jingle and an expensive ad campaign? We have since switched to Liberty Mutual for our primary home.In our time of need State Farm was NOT there, and truthfully my siblings involved in this probate case, their kids, and our families all felt it. We have taken our business elsewhere. Statefarm isn’t a good neighbor, and they were not there for us. I suggest you find an insurance firm who will explain the situation, offer alternatives, etc, none of which happened with this office.

So I left Dave Turner’s office after 14+ years with him insuring 5 cars and homeowners insurance each month cause he did not exceed my expectations in customer service - huge disappointment! I am still with Statefarm as I been for over 30 years just changed agents to one who goes the extra mile! Dave could have corrected the problem but chose not to lift a finger to help someone who has done business with him for years!
