Never open late anymore, sometimes during day the door is locked and employees are on break or in back room. One time I noticed them out back smoking and the door locked. Ridiculous. Today the soda/ice/coffee machine was down. This place is old I get it, probably one of the smallest cumbys left but it needs a remodel, and it smells. The tiles and floor need work, as well as parking lot and pumps

On my way to the train station in New Haven we stopped in here for Coffee and some breakfast 5am in the morning Coffee was fresh I was a little upset that they didn't have a flavor shot I really wanted some coconut but I will live, but what really sucked was Hardly any Breakfast sandwiches my other half grabbed the last 3 and I grabbed 2 roller grill items the French toast, they had no pancake syrup packets which I really could of used because they were so dried out. I should of bought some chips or Candy Bar but at that time in the morning I wasn't thinking and not in the mood for Junk food. They had a couple of employees in there so you would think one would do the cash register and the other stocking up on the food just a thought, I really thank them for the fresh coffee though.

Part of this review may be related to my growing frustration with Cumberland Farms in general. I suspect they are playing a long game of getting rid of receipts at the pump in order to save paper. Over the last few months, I can count the number of times on one hand I've actually been able to get a receipt at the pump, and I get gas at a Cumberland Farms at least once a week. This specific location at least has an error message to let you know there's no paper and to go into the shop. It's not the end of the world, but it's an annoyance we as the human race have the resources to fix. Other then that, the parking lot is small and the parking area is partially obstructed on the left-hand side. The store is well-lit and your standard gas station snacks and drinks.

Because this is the Cumberland Farms closest to us -- roughly halfway between Torrington and Litchfield -- we are often stopping by here although it is much smaller than the stations on S. Main St. and E. Main St. in Torrington. It has only four pumps and can get crowded at times, but you can't beat its convenience for us, and the fact that the folks who work here are pretty nice. So, local and all that, and the 99-cent coffee and we're happy. We also use Cumberland's 10-cent discount card.
