Just wanna say to everyone who is black don’t go to this liquor store and buy liquor and be careful of the manager in there. She will try to get you fired. She is mean and nasty to Black people so everyone that’s black do not shop at this alcohol store, please

This Shoppe is located across the street from Cumberland Farms and has maybe two, three street parking spots available in front of it. I honestly expected a one room hole in the wall with maybe a few token bottles of wine. But no! Inside is well lit, spacious, and two rooms with beautiful brick arches separating them. (The cashier hypothesized it may have one day, long ago, been a pizzeria) The wine is mostly reasonably priced, twenty dollars or below with names you know and enjoy. There is beer available in the coolers, and liquors behind the "bar" in the main room the cashier will get for you. I even found a new kind of liquor to try! This is definitely a fun store to check out.

The hours say they open at 8 and the sign on the door also says open at 8. Every time I go there if the girl is working it is never open, she shows up when she feels like it. This is everytime she works. I have been there at 9,10,11, people are always waiting outside and the delivery man has waited several times up to over 2 hours for her to show up. I don't know if the owner is aware of this but if the store doesn't open at 8 you need to change the sign on the door to whatever time she works. I like to go out early to the stores to get whatever I need and this liquor store is the only one near by that opens early, so needless to say I will not ever go there again.

10 percent off all wines?! Sold! My favorite liquor store in town besides warehouse wine and liquor ! Never had a bad experience over the 3 years I've lived in Torrington. Derrick the manager is very polite and knowledgeable.

New Owner,Ya Ping, has owned it the last year or so.Place is always clean now. He's very accommodating and orders whatever it is you're looking for. Always offering recommendations on new or different products. Nice guy to shoot the s*** with.Great to see an owner /operator put in the work to make his business thrive and not just run a dump like so many other places in town. I refuse to spend my money elsewhere. Also, from day 1,he's went out of his way to know you, your name and preferences .you just don't get service like that nowadays.

Pretty small, and also prone to being frequented by South End raggies. That said, their selection is okay
