I was a regular there for both my personal and business accounts when Robert was the Manager...great service and competence. He is now at Main St in Bpt and feel the quality and competence are significantly less. The tellers walk away when there are customers waiting in line to be helped, the manager there turned down a check I was cashing because the spelling was incorrect on the amount but the amount was clearly stated in numerals which has always been what is defferred to clarify. Numbers are universal, spelling is not always. I am a long term customer so I may have to go out of my way to another branch (Robert's) for the great service I expect.

Now a days I m not liking to visit it, cause people there they are not caring about clients,,,,,long time, to slow, and bad job.....i dont know if it is happening cause of that happened few days ago.......... but they are so down

The sales rep working on this location(Stratford’s Stop&Shop, I think named Alex) was very rude/lost/didn’t care/etc, now I know she didn’t know what she was doing because I had to go to a different location to get things done the proper way. I don’t wanna think she was just being racist/discriminatory for the fact that I was speaking Spanish to my wife, but there’s a big chance that was it. She started to ask me if I was US citizen, again..again and again, to the point that she blocked my account, I left and had to go to another branch to show proof of citizenship. That’s NOT OK!, I don’t recommend this place to anyone, go somewhere else!!!

I have been going for about eight years to Stop & Shop People's Bank in Stratford, and always had a great experience especially with Alexandra and Randy. Went there after my account being compromised and spoke with Celcio and I was truly disappointed. I understand it was the end of the day but he seemed really frustrated. He told me right off the bat he couldn't close the account because there were something there pending but when I told him that they told me at peoples that they would be able to close it today he became agitated. His manager told him that yes he can close the account and then he continue but he wasn't very happy. When we went to open up a new account he told me that I had to update my license but I didn't have a copy of my new one so he couldn't help me so I told him that's OK I'll deposit the money at Bank of America where I have an account already and he said that's fine put the receipt on the desk and walked away.
