The inn is a favorite romantic getaway for my husband and I. The location is right in the borough of Stonington, and walkable to a beach and several restaurants. The staff is wonderful and accommodating, and the rooms are beautiful.

Home tonight after our 4 night stay at The Inn at Stonington for our 20th anniversary getaway. It was beyond lovely. The room was large and still cozy, the fireplace oversized jacuzzi tub and large walk in shower were wonderful. While our room faced the village rather than the water, it was still peaceful. The staff were amazing. Breakfast and wine and cheese o. The deck was so peaceful. They even have a gas firepit! The Inn in is the heart of The Borough and close to restaurants, shops, the lighthouse museum, and the beach. Hope to be back again.Safety: Felt 100% safeWalkability: Very walkable and lovely sightsFood & drinks: The Breakwater was behind the Inn and was simply amazing! Their hot buttered lobster rolls and tuna poke bowls were the bomb! Great service as well. Dogwatch cafe wa another great place for fresh seafood. Id pass on Noah's..... but to each their own.

This was our first time staying at this beautiful inn and it will not be our last. The rear of the inn overlooks the water. We had breakfast outside on the patio and the view was so serene. Our room was immaculate and had water views. We didn't plan in advance for going to the beach but the weather cooperated and the inn keepers offered us chairs and towels to take with us. On our last day, we checked out super early (before breakfast) and the inn keepers packed us a little goody bag of muffins to take on our trip. Everyone was very nice and accommodating. I can't wait to go back next summer!

nice Inn, nice location. large room with comfy bed but no charm. overlooked a parking lot. disappointing Happy Hour- jug wine, " white or red". meager breakfast serve-your-self buffet. they did not even pour you coffee or offer a second cup. self bussed. for $500/ night I'd was expecting more than the Holiday Inn. Definitely not worth the price!!

Can I give a six star review? We've stayed at expensive hotels this year in Philadelphia and Chicago and this experience is head and shoulders over those. Huge room, comfortable, quiet and cozy. 6 starThe quiet, do we even have anyone in the Inn or the town? The insulation is top notch. The darkThe ultra sleeping experience. I guarantee the owner slept in this room at least one night to get feel for the room and make those little touches. How many hotels do you go to where the shades don't keep out the light or that the various clocks and smoke alarms and power strips and wall outlets all have bright led lights on them? How many times have I draped a sock over something. Not here, even the clock has a bright, dim and off option. I love a blacked out room and very very rarely get one. The shower - powerful and hot and oversized. Wow.Massive bathtub with jacuzzi option, wow.A well hidden TV, a really nice touch. We don't want it dominating the room.Bed, I've returned 3 mattresses after purchasing them at my house so I am picky and this bed is elite.Huge comfy chairs, comfy robes, this room has it all and the a/c is powerful.Resort 6starsWine and cheese and fruit and cracker happy hour, bring $5 to tip Susan, she is a cheerful conversatalist. Breakfast is massive, don't plan to go anywhere else for brunch or breakfast. Highly recommend it and the seating areas are many, inside and out. Staff - great recommendations and Beatrice drew upon her knowledge of growing up in the town. Plus they had a ready list of 5 places to eat to walk to, so nice. The town, what a find, a classic NE town, they filmed mystic pizza here. So quiet and so much to do! Good amount of folks walking around, plenty of sites to see. Love it here.

My wife and I stayed here for 4 night and wow. The location is as good as it gets. Walking distance to all the great restaurants, shops, local beach and historical monuments. The rooms are huge and well kept. The room service was very efficient every day. The hosts were very kind and helpful. Cheese and wine night were fantastic as well as breakfast. We will be back!

Absolutely nothing bad to say about this wonderful inn. The staff is both informative and friendly. The rooms are decorated lovely but, more importantly, they are comfortable. Our room (#9) had a balcony that overlooked the harbor, a gas fireplace, and a wonderful soaking/jacuzzi tub. Very quiet there as well.In the evenings, a complimentary wine and cheese offering is quite pleasant, getting to chat with others with the good taste to stay at the Inn. Mornings have a continental breakfast buffet with enough offerings to satisfy any palate. (Though don't discount the local restaurants which serve a great breakfast. It's vacation; indulge!)We visited in late April; the weather was inclement, but it was still fabulous! The village offers lots to do and see any season of the year.

Just arrived home from our stay at The Inn at Stonington and what can I say except it was absolutely wonderful! From the minute we opened the door we were greeted with such warmth hospitality, it felt like we were family! The hosts were so accommodating, and they gave us all kinds of tips about the area and great places to see. We had room #16 and just wow it was huge, sparkling clean, and had everything from a wet bar to a huge 4 poster king bed, soaking tub, and large sitting area. We had a beautiful view of the harbor as well. There was complimentary wine and cheese at 6:00, and bottles of Poland Spring water waiting for us upon arrival to our room. The Breakwater restaurant is located directly behind the Inn and it was wonderful as well. We just booked for September and highly recommend the Inn at Stonington It's a beautiful place nestled right in the middle of history.

Absolutely beautiful, in every aspect! The exterior appearance, the lobby, the common areas, the rooms, the patio, the deck, the parking lot - everything was impeccably neat and clean. Our room was no different. Clean, comfortable and neatly appointed. You might expect the above points of an Inn like this, but the employees were the nicest I've ever experienced in my travels. My wife made reservations for a birthday weekend getaway for me. In order to make it a memorable stay, the staff went above and beyond to coordinate wonderful surprises for me. I'm sorry, I forgot the name of the woman who worked the front desk Friday night, but she was an integral part of the surprise. She was incredibly friendly and warm - chatting with her was as natural as talking to an old friend. Her recommendations for area attractions and dining were just as good as she suggested.I would suggest to any potential guests here, bring a bottle of your favorite beverage, sit on the deck or if you're fortunate enough to have a balcony, and take in incredible sunset views! We will definitely return to the Inn at Stonington!

The staff and room were excellent. The staff really makes this a true five-star inn. We were in room #7 and which has a great view and we really appreciated the decor. The continental breakfast was also excellent. My wife said their croissants were the best she'd had outside of Paris.Throw in the location and it is hard to beat.If there is anything negative, it would be that we did notice that some of the upholstered furniture was looking a little worn and likely ready for replacing. WHO CARES! It was great!

My review is way overdue. We visited last May. Stonington/Mystic is a good trip if you're looking for a low key romantic or just relaxing few days away. The inn is so beautiful and quaint, very romantic, and the breakfast is delicious and plentiful! The room had a huge tub, comfortable bed, fireplace, and an ocean view, and with the nightly wine and cheese, the price is more than reasonable. And the staff were incredible, always super helpful and provided beach chairs, a picnic basket, and directions. They're genuinely friendly and even gave us a complimentary bottle of champagne when they learned my fiancé proposed at a nearby vineyard. Just overall good vibe. We're definitely looking forward to returning soon!

What can I say to do this lovely Inn justice? I've been coming here with my husband for years and it has become my home away from home. The rooms and the hospitality are five stars and the kindness shown by Susan and Beth are unmatched. Thank you for another beautiful stay which was so good for our souls. Cannot wait to come back soon!!
