First time here. Lynn McG was my stylist. She listened to what I wanted in my haircut and proceeded to cut my hair exactly as I wanted. I highly recommend this Salon. Everyone was so very friendly! From just the telephone call that I made to make the appointment, one of the other stylists recognized me with a big smile as that guy from Jersey. I was concerned that I would not be able to find a stylist like Shannon that I had gone to in Brick, NJ for years. And then there was Lynn fulfilling my expectations. Retiring in Ledyard CT is the best thing that I have done in years. Hair Unique II is now my go to Salon!!

AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME!!!!! Absolutely love this place, the establishment it self is amazing. The stylists are absolutely incredible, they are so carrying, sweet, beautiful amazing women who know exactly what they are doing. Not only did they do amazing job on my hair but they also worked together. 3 different stylists came and helped my stylist who was doing her very best and was amazing at it. I absolutely love this place and will definitely be going back!!!!

They were booked up but me and my roomate go, young girl probably just starting i ask for a basic fade.. wasnt a real fade but it did the job and it looked pretty goood.. my roomate left negative review cuz he was mad as hell he had to wait 20 min for a 3 minute beard trim he already lined up... ANYWAY the girl who cut my hair was young and very pretty.. hope that helps for any men looking

1st I was set up with a hair dresser that didn't know what she was doing and had to be given tips the whole time as if she was still in school. I had prelined up my beard and just wanted her to run a #2 on it which would take about 30 seconds and she said no, she has another client. (Since cutting my awful haircut took so long) Another worker spoke up and said she would do it after her client, so I sat there another half hour and then got my beard cut in about 45 seconds (she even handed me the clippers to finish. I thought she realized how horrible my cut was from the young girl that they must have hired last night right out of hair cutting school, but she just wanted to make $10 in 5 seconds making me wait 30 minutes for it, and gave positive affirmation to the girl that clearly botched my hair. My friend who also got his hair cut right before me was asking me why all the workers kept crowding around me. She didn't even know how to do a fade. I get that it's primarily a woman's hair place but don't tell me you have an opening and set me up with someone that needs coaching literally the whole time. If I had a heads up that she was new or even remotely incompetent, I wouldn't have gotten a cut. Consider that sneaky $10 beard trim charge, the tip. I couldnt get out of there quick enough. Worst hair cut experience of my life. My mother and sister are both hair dressers so dont try and reply with some damage control b.s. i tried every which way to get her to fix it and it was to no avail, so i finally just said "yea its great i love it" so it didnt get worse. On my way home i made sure my uber driver hadnt just finished driving school.

First time client. Been traveling all summer and needed a haircut. Same day appointments were available but I scheduled for the next day. Linn did a fabulous job on my hair. Listened carefully to what I wanted and delivered! The price was reasonable too. Would recommend.

I showed the stylist two inspiration photos and explained I wanted curtain bangs, and some layering all throughout my hair. However, after she cut my bangs, I ended up with very blunt, cheekbone-length bangs from ear to ear, which was not what I wanted. Even though she mentioned trusting the process, I didn't feel comfortable confronting her and decided not to request further changes to avoid more hair being cut off.After paying and tipping, I left the salon feeling dissatisfied and when I later spoke to the manager about the situation, she did offer to have another stylist fix the issue, which was a positive gesture, which I denied wanting. She did ultimately refund me the money for the wash, cut, and style. However, during our conversation, the manager laughed at my concerns and suggested that I should have intervened during the cut, or before I paid.In my opinion, it's essential for stylists to be upfront about their skill sets and abilities, giving customers the chance to make informed decisions. Trusting the stylist hired is crucial, and we shouldn't have to closely monitor the process to ensure a satisfactory result. It would be helpful if the salon's stylists were more transparent about their capabilities, preventing such miscommunications in the future and providing customers with a better experience overall.

My kids had a haircut with Ms Sarah. One of them being a first haircut. She handled them wonderfully, no tears and a lot of compliments from friends and family!!!!

Yo this girl cut off alll my hair . I wanted to be polite but Jesus Christ there is a a difference between a pixie cut trim up and a buzz cut . Probably a miscommunication. I’m not mad but Come on slow your roll w the clippers . . Still a nice salon and I recommend them . And I would definitely recommend her . Still a 5 star review bc I believe in support women doing their creative craft .

We are traveling so I'm always nervous about getting a trim since I have very fine hair and I'm trying to get some length. Jean trimmed my ends and did exactly what I wanted. Isabelle is just the best! She is so talented and LISTENS to her clients. I have had nothing but great experiences with my extensions with her and she is so talented at color-matching! My husband and I planned an elopement to Mystic and I needed a salon to get my hair and makeup done before the ceremony.I’m so glad that I chose Hair Unique!!
