Renting at Village of Stamford has been nothing less than a constant nightmare!!
Middle of the night alarms & rushing into the street barely clothed on multiple occasions and not once did management broadcast what transpired or sent a global apology.
On night alarms went off shortly after water burst into several apts.
Pipe issues in the walls, undetermined location, flooding the garage.
The hallways on higher floors & stairwells are terribly ignored; I’ve seen & walked over the same trash for several weeks before it’s been removed.
Never in my MANY years of renting at various places have I encountered problem after problem after problem after problem!!!
To state that I’m saddened & angry that I LOST, yes, LOST so much money renting here with the amount of problems that I experienced is an understatement.

The amount of issues at this place are almost unimaginable. Constant mail theft, flooding, reduction of amenities with rising rent prices, extremely unprofessional staff especially Amy.
When we moved out they put little to no effort to try to rent our place out to help us save some money. Then they were rude and threatened us with additional "repair bills".
Please do yourself and your family a huge favor and stay FAR away from this place.

Management is incredibly rude.

They charge luxury apartment prices for a very standard apartment. A plus is, the staff is nice. Lots of repairs and fixes required before fully moving into the apartment.

The leasing department personnel has no decency to talk on a call. I did not expect such an unprofessional behavior. I got a clear picture of how they must be dealing with their tenants requests. They were absolutely not resourceful and helpful in giving the information that was needed.

New management is terrible. Units are overpriced and amenities are old and often broken. Elevators go unfixed for months, the garage doors don't shut.

New company took over in 2021 and almost all of the staff has left since. New company has no urgency to fix things they don’t deem as necessary, yet still raised rents over 20% this year. One elevator was down for over a year, the main elevator has been down over 4 months and the garage doors haven’t worked in over a year. Management lies about repair timelines and gives you an attitude if questioned. The building is also not very conducive for dogs. Would not recommend.

Over-priced building with no worthwhile amenities. The front elevator doesn't work. I was told by the office manager it would be fixed within 6 weeks of moving in and that wasn't the case. It was broken the entire time I lived here. A maintenance worker told me they've been having elevator issues for a year! This was a huge inconvenience with having guests confused about where to go and getting trapped in the staircase since I'm on the 4th floor. My move in date was pushed back 2 days last minute and the dishwasher didn't work when I moved in. The gym is terrible and missing dumbells. The front desk girl that raved about this place on my move in tour no longer works here (says a lot). I couldn't stand living here so I put in the 60 days notice to get out of my lease. They charge a $2500 fee for leaving early, but why should you pay if promises aren't kept. Would steer clear of this high rent crappy building! They just want your money. Spend it wisely elsewhere!

We lived at the village for 4 years. Although it may not be the flashiest apartment complex in Stamford, what attracted us was its affordability, size of the apartments, and great location right in the middle of downtown. Management is OK. Not always the most responsive or helpful, however I didn't have any significant issues while living there. Residents are generally respectful, and noise complaints are addressed appropriately. The gym is a nice bonus. The package room is a bit of a disaster at times. When you move out, they really expect you to clean the apartment impeccably, despite the fact that they send in a professional cleaning crew after you leave. We got a surprising fee for forgetting to wipe down the inside of the medicine cabinet, a job that takes two seconds. Overall in the end, the village served our purpose and we lived there very happily.

The office shows no care to the building. Elevators out for months, garage doors break every month, no concession for the close down of all amenities, and ruthless office managers.Water gets shut off once a month ‘for repairs’ with no notice. We have been caught in the shower once and once not being able to use the bathroom for two and half hours.Leak in apartment took two years for someone to look at it. Drug dealers in the apartment building all while the residents get stern emails that the building takes no liability and won’t sign for a package (while recommending having a neighbor sign). We tried to get out of our lease for these reasons and they tried to charge us $8k. Don’t even bother looking here!

My boyfriend and I moved in about 3 weeks ago and we have had nothing but positive things to say about Village at Stamford! Michelle and Mina are great. They are prompt with answering emails and always helpful! Maintenance is great as well! We had a few requests following move in and they accommodated us within a week. The location is perfect, we are walking distance to just about every kind of restaurant, target, and some local parks. It’s the perfect mix of city like feel, but quiet and private at the same time. Balconies in every apartment are a plus too. We love it here!

The apartment locality is excellent. All the immediate necessities are walkable. Move in process was well handled and smooth. Michelle and Mina were very helpful. Apartment prices are affordable for its amenities, locality and floor plan.
