My son has been going to Union Memorial Preschool since he was three years old. We chose this school because of the curriculum and the wonderful teachers. Miss Emily Bennett( teacher and director) made my son's transition from being home till age three to going to school very smooth, she was caring and warm and he developed a special bond with her. We love the whole staff at the school and his teacher his second year Elly Newberry is really someone he looks up to. He has grown so much in so many areas- verbal, social, emotional and academic, and its all thanks to the teachers of Union Memorial Preschool.

The teachers at UMP are amazing. The love they have for their kids is undeniable. My son can't wait to go to school and is always telling me how much he loves school. The program is very play oriented however, he is also learning SO much. His vocabulary has exploded. I love the learning units the school puts together to allow the kids to explore ideas across different levels. We love UMP!

My son loves going to Union memorial preschool. He's currently in the 4s program (Terrific Tigers) With Ms. Elly Newberry who is a wonderful teacher. We started since he was 2 years old with Ms. Emily Bennet (who now is the director of UMP) Their curriculum is fantastic. The teachers and staff are all knowledgeable and nurturing. They do a fantastic job of encouraging the children's curiosity.I highly recommend looking into this School for your child.

My son has been a student at Union Memorial Preschool since September 2015 and it has been a fantastic experience! We sent my daughter to three different preschools prior to starting kindergarten (we had good experiences at each of them) and I'm so happy that our son will enjoy all of his preschool years in the same place. The staff is knowledgeable and nurturing and the children are provided with a variety of learning stations. There are sensory tables out each day and the children make a daily trip outdoors unless it is very, very cold. I feel like the educators do a fantastic job of encouraging the children's natural curiosity and fostering a love of learning that I hope will accompany my son to elementary school. He enjoys attending, seems to be forming good relationships with his peers and demonstrates the skills he's learning in the classroom at home. I'm very pleased!ETA - I saw a negative review regarding the failure to return a deposit for tuition. I haven't needed to explore that policy, but feel it is worth mentioning that the former director (who seemed very nice) left. It is also of note that the entire school now follows the British Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum - it was previously limited to the Cheeky Monkeys (2s) program. I was unfamiliar with EYFS, but it is working out very well for my son.

My daughter started going to Union Memorial's summer camp when she was 18 months old. This was a transition period for both of us because she had never been away from me before. Then, starting in September 2016, she went one day a week to her 2's program when she was 21 months old. She has a sweet bond with the 2's teacher Carla and really took a liking to her. The children are always doing unique and creative things and coming home with adorable artwork.Once my daughter started going 2 days a week, I really noticed an increase in her vocabulary and socialization, plus she started saying the ABC's and counting to 10! The activities are not your standard run-of-the-mill, but they explore the outdoors with dirt sensory bins, watch caterpillars transform into butterflies and so many other things. The preschool is warm and welcoming and you really feel that they care about your child.I'm very happy I made the decision to send my child to Union Memorial and I look forward to her staying there until she goes to kindergarten.

This is my child's first preschool at 3. After he stared at Union memorial, he improved a lot in terms of vocabulary, personal, social skills. There are many outdoor activities that the school plans through out the year which are interesting, helpful. Me and my wife are very happy with our kid's progress.

The teachers at UMP are so lovely and care deeply for the children. My child has learned so much in the short amount of time we've been with UMP. And the pricing is reasonable for this area. I would recommend UMP to anyone looking for a great preschool for their child.

They are so unprofessional- I gave deposit of 675$ for registration early February for September 2015 with good intention of enrolling my son there. Things changed at my workplace and I am no longer able to send him there- we gave them enough notice( early April 2015) that my child will be unable to start there and they refuse to return the deposit now. There was no policy about non refundable deposit. Truly disappointed and shocked with them that a CHURCH will illegally / unreasonably keep other's hard earned money!!!!! No clue how to get my money back.
