One of the best public golf courses in Fairfield County. Unlike a town owned course that siphons off the profits and leaves players with a mediocre golf experience , Sterling is a leased course (for many years) which reinvests the profits back into the course, and it shows. For the amount of play Sterling receives, it is well maintained and a gem of a course. Nice driving range, and short game practice area. Personnel are helpful as well.

Only quality driving range within 20 miles. Friendly staff. Well maintained hitting areas. Balls are in good condition. Reasonable price. The professional staff under Angela's guidance are top notch.

I play golf here 3-4 times a week. It’s an incredible public course that’s really well maintained. My favorite time of year to play at Sterling farms is in October. The foliage and views are priceless. I really appreciate that the grounds crew clears the leaves and keeps the course in pristine shape even into late November. The staff are great. Helen who runs the pro shop is a delight, and Carl one of the starters is always a pleasure to chat with.I do wish they had a monthly membership to the range for regulars like myself. I purchase a large bucket $16 4/5 times a week which adds up. However the greens fees for residents is the best deal I’ve ever come across. You can’t go wrong choosing to play at Sterling. It truly is a wonderful experience for any golfer.

very nice setting maintenance crew works hard to keep it looking great year round driving range is also a great must do especially in colder months when golf course is limited heated bays are a great addition

A public golf course that is extremely well-maintained, cleaned, and beautiful to play on. I especially like to practice at the range with my clubs and if I need any lessons I can easily find them and set them up in the golf pro shop located near the parking lot. Will definitely be returning here and recommending this course to others!

Overall, you do a great job. Sometimes, the rangers are too nice and don't push slow players enough.
