How can you let kids go into water so dirty that people get infections from open cuts that are exposed to it? Why is it okay for poor kids who are mostly kids of color to swim in water that most middle-class folks wouldn't go near? You are endangering the health of every child you allow to swim in the Stamford marina/Bocuzzi beach area. If you wouldn't let your own kids swim there, don't sacrifice anyone else's.

We found this kayak experience to be wonderful. The staff was helpful and friendly. Enjoyed seeing the harbor and shoreline. Nice bars and restaurants to walk to afterward.

Relaxing two-hour sunset sail aboard 80′ schooner on the Long Island Sound. It is a large and beautifully crafted vintage sailboat — the trip can vary depending on the winds but includes harbor views of Stamford, Greenwich Point, and Stamford Lighthouse. It's a peaceful and social time on the water with family, friends, and even solo. Pack some food and wine.
SoundWaters also has kayak rentals, plus summer kids and educational programs.

I had a wonderful experience on an afternoon sail with SoundWaters! I was a solo traveler but still had a wonderful experience. The sail is 2 hours and you're able to see Manhattan across Long Island Sound if it's a clear day. Passengers are able to bring picnic foods and their own beer/wine type beverages aboard if they wish. The excursion was pretty low key which allowed for a relaxing atmosphere. The crew did a good job and if you had questions they were able to assist. Making reservations was easy on their website and if I visit again I'd love to take part in their sunset sailing cruise they offer, it just happened to be booked already. They have free parking and is a great experience for a great price. Would definitely recommend. I'm really glad I got to experience this during my time in CT.

Absolutely AMAZING experience. 1000000% recommend sound water sail in Stamford,CT. Spent the weekend in Stamford and this was the perfect addition to It. You are allowed to bring your own wine and light picnic foods. Everything was prompt, staff was friendly and polite, the rest of the passengers also kept to themselves. Able to enjoy the water and the sunset. Everything was timed well. You were on the water for the whole sunset. I will definitely be doing this again.

The people were very nice and the interns, but I was a mom on one of the trips last summer and it really concerned me that they had a flounder at the petting station? Fish have that slime coat that they teach us at aquatic husbandry is very harmful to touch at all which is their immune response, then to see little kids pressing hard and rubbing the fish frantically and you could see the pain it was in. Second the tank the founder was held in was so sad, I’m guessing less then 10 gallon? They have a huge lobster in maybe a 10 gallon and it’s so big that it’s claws actually are out of the water but they don’t have him in a bigger tank. When we were also there they let the kids touch an injured horseshoe crab with a hole in the top which kids stuck their fingers in and then I found out it died that day. I am very concerned what else happens behind the scenes for these animals. The kids will now think it’s ok to touch a fish and their slime coat and to keep fish in small tanks. I’m not blaming the workers because maybe they weren’t trained properly, but it does make me question the treatment of these poor aquatic fish we are trying to be saving and respecting. I would love to give this place a 5 star if it could be addressed, thank you.
