My daughter started going to SLS at the beginning of this year, and in matter of a couple of days, she was completely adjusted! She loves being there with the teachers and her friends.. to the point she runs in the minute we enter the facility. SLS is also on top of it when it comes to communicating with parents on everything which helps to stay informed about your child. Overall, we are very happy to have made the switch to SLS.

I am truly grateful for the care, love and professionalism of this special place. We've experienced quite a few other daycares and by far SLS knows how to manage early development for kids and equally important, how to partner with us parents. Great communication, support and attention to detail has earned my trust over the past year with Mrs. Lumi and Madga who are very involved in the day-to-day operation. They bring their expertise to intentional programing and hiring/training of teachers and it makes a big difference. To see our 2.5 year old son run towards his teachers when we drop off in the morning, says a lot about the environment they've allowed us to come into. Sad we had to leave. Will miss this incredible space.

No words can do justice to how grateful i am to shiny little stars. Everyone is so kind and attentive to our child’s needs, personality, and development. Everyone is so well behaved polite and kind. The place is very clean and well maintained with wonderful hand hygiene; our kid has barely ever gotten sick. They do their best to keep the school open as much as possible. They have such a wonderful curriculum adapted to children. By her 2 year old birthday our child was counting to 10 and counting objects up to 10 and reading some letters. They go outside quite a bit. They update parents and keep us in close communication to what is happening. They are really invested in children education; it shows it is a passion for them. Our child is very happy, and so are we.

Our 22 months old daughter M has started SLS little dippers class in Sep this year. Let me put it this way: it is the best decision we’ve made!Nowadays most places got good reviews so it’s really hard for first time parents to really tell the difference when they are going through reviews of a daycare. For us, we also heavily relied on our friend’s recommendation to make the decision to switch to SLS. So hopefully what’s written below will be useful to help parents navigate their decision process.1. Level of care and attention provided to kids.At our previous daycare (they have live video), after dropoff kids just wondered around by themselves in the room and sometimes played with whatever never changing toys they could grab. And they were also given sweet snacks and sometimes TV to make them happy after 4pm. One can say oh it is just the warm up time in the morning, or after 5pm everyone is tired. But, this is not how SLS handles it.The attention and care kids receive at SLS is totally different. When kids are dropped off, they will be provided with toys/projects to get them occupied right away. From photos shared, we can tell countless toys are being provided and rotated at SLS throughout each day/week. Another anecdote, I remember once at about 5:15pm when I picked up my daughter, Ms. Ivanna and Ms. Selina were still singing joyfully with the other two remaining kids, while sitting on the floor playing with them. There was not a single sign showing “getting close to the end of the day”. The teachers at SLS truly love kids.2. Rich curriculum thoughtfully curatedFrom how my daughter plays at home with existing toys, new toys, and different reaction to subjects, we can tell she is being exposed to and stimulated by new concepts constantly at SLS. For example, she makes animal sounds such as a hissing sound of a snake when she came across a book with snake in it; she asked for more mushrooms at dinner table by saying the word coincidentally when SLS is teaching about mushroom during this month; she has been wanting to try monkey bar, and also did somersault on her own on our living room carpet, after being exposed to the gymnastics classes brought by Mr. Anatol every Monday. My daughter’s face always lights up with big smiles every morning when I mention Ms. Evelyn or Mr. Anatol’s names to get her ready for daycare…BTW, another thing worth to mention is SLS is very committed on taking kids out when weather allows. We are big on getting kids outdoor as much as possible, and SLS is very aligned on that. And their facility provides plenty outdoor space.3. Attentive owners of the daycareMs. Magda and Ms. Lumi have built a truly supportive community around the kids, the families, and the teachers at SLS. They have been running SLS for 20 years now but they are still staying on top of the daily operations. We always see them every now and then onsite at the daycare. They have chosen to maintain the care quality by not expanding SLS to a larger facility. They would provide tips on parenting when they or the teachers observe something that worth to bring to parents’ attention, but with tactics not to create pressure...

Our son has been a student here for over three years. We came from another program after a recommendation from one of my mom friends. We have been beyond impressed by the quality of the school and the level of love and compassion from staff. Magda and Lumi are amazing leaders and have ensured our son has been nurtured, supported, challenged and surrounded by amazing teachers and staff. Cannot recommend enough. We came from a daycare with limited outdoor times. This is never an issue. Backyard play area is huge and the kids have tons of outside play time. Communication with teachers is great. App for pictures taken everyday (I will miss this!) and super clean facilities. We loved being part of the shiny family and will miss them dearly!

Both of our children attended Shiny Little Stars from the time they were 12 - 16 months old until they entered kindergarten. We searched long and hard for a child care center that would meet our expectations and ended up visiting SLS one fine morning. As soon as we spoke with the faculty's owner, Ms. Lumi, and the teachers, we knew our children would love it here, and I must say that this was the best decision we could have made.We have been extremely happy with the care and attention both of our kids have received here at SLS. The teachers are all very warm and friendly, and they have clearly taken the time to get to know our children and their individual needs. Both the owners are wonderful, detail oriented, courteous and have childhood education degrees, so a great emphasis is put on curating the curriculum every year. Our children are now in elementary school, but the owners are still close friends of the family. We will forever be thankful to SLS for the love and support and providing a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment in which our kids have learnt and grown to be confident individuals.Thank you for making our daycare experience so wonderful! I highly recommend SLS and can't think of a more loving and supporting environment for the early childhood years.

I am not a parent, but an employee of Shiny Little Stars. I started working for Shiny Little Stars over 10 years ago when it was just a small group of 6 children. I love that I have had the opportunity to watch it grow and become more successful each passing year; going from a home daycare to a childcare center holding more than 35 children yet never losing the family feel. SLS quickly became my home away from home and the owners hand pick only the best and most qualified staff to take care of the children. On top of a great education, social skills and independence skills are integrated into the curriculum. The importance of play is highly emphasized and the curriculum is designed to address all learning styles whether your child is an auditory, visual or kinesthetic learner. Children are exposed daily to music, sensory activities, and the ability to develop gross and fine motor skills (everything from running and jumping to learning to hold a pencil and cutting with scissors). I highly recommend SLS and honestly don't think you will find a more loving and supporting environment than SLS for your child to learn and grow!

Shiny Little Stars is our daughter’s second home. It is NOT a “daycare”. It’s a SCHOOL. With an incredible, solid, thoughtful curriculum. My husband and I have conversations at home about how lucky we all are. Since our daughter joined SLS she has evolved and blossomed into this clever, kind, smart and lively little girl! Her teachers are amazing at what they do and to me, more importantly, they are really good people with great hearts that love children and want them to learn and succeed. The owners are absolutely amazing ladies and experts on education. They care deeply about both children and parents. We could never be happier for our daughter and we can go to work everyday with peace of mind and knowing that she is being taking care of and loved everyday when not around us. We LOVE SLS.

Our 21 month old goes here and we couldn’t be happier. She is thriving! All of the teachers are so wonderful and always greet us with a smile. They are all very nurturing and clearly care about each and every child. Our daughter absolutely loves going to “school” everyday. She has learned her colors, numbers, different emotions, many new songs, and her vocabulary has just exploded. They use an amazing app and send pictures and updates thru the app throughout the day and inform you of anything important that occurred as well as anything that they might be running low on (ie change of clothes, diapers, etc). They truly focus on the early learning environment and provide a monthly email highlighting the curriculum that they plan on tackling that month. The staff is very friendly and easy to communicate with and the other children are all very sweet. One thing that we love is that they stress learning manners. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking and once our 2nd daughter is old enough she’ll be going there as well (as the minimum age is 15 months). Thank you for making our daycare experience so wonderful!

Great pre-school, happy environment. Kids are learning social skills and everything academically needed to be prepared for school. Bonus for full time working parents: they have long hours and are open more than public schools are open (some holidays, some snow days which are not as bad, etc).

Great place for children with one of the best educational programs you can find in this area. Our family has been with SLS for almost 5 years and this place has become our second family by now. My oldest child was fully prepared for kindergarten after graduating from SLS. My little one is still there and loves it. The teachers care about and work individually with every child, providing best care and education you can think of.

Home away from home & wonderful environment for Kids.We had our kid in SLS for last 4.5 years and it has been a great experience. Teachers are willing to go the extra step to take care of kids and management is very supportive of Kids & Parents needs. Kids learn many values and good aspect apart from academia.Humane touch, caring approach and specially they do not operate like a business/Franchise that make them stand out in crowd.

Shiny Little Stars (SLS) is a wonderful place for your child! It offers the best care and education at a surprisingly low cost. SLS has been a second home for both our children for two and a half years and we have nothing but the highest praise for it and its teachers. The directors and teachers have childhood education degrees and are positive and energetic people: they go the extra mile to always provide the highest quality for your child. They offer a great curriculum in addition to catering to each child's unique personality and instilling a sense of community. The children at SLS are happy, self-sufficient, respectful and appreciative of each other, kind, creative, and smart. We moved out-of-state and our son excels in kindergarten while our daughter is well-balanced and has adjusted well to the new environment, certainly also thanks to SLS. Good luck in finding the best place for your child! We couldn't recommend SLS more! - Joshua and Liana Bennett

Second home for (both) my kids .My daughter joined shiny-little-stars when she was ~1.5 years old (around 2009) and stayed there until kindergarten . During that time my son was born and Shiny's management did their best to accept him as well and he is still attending the place....probably until kindergarten as well....:) .The staff is great , both my kids love all the teachers there and the owners do their best to open the place even when all schools or workplaces are closed (e,g, due to weather , non-mandatory holidays , etc..) .The kids are having a great time and enjoying both indoor/outdoors physical activities as well as many social activities which is very important for the little ones.I definitely recommend the place .
