Pet Stores & Supplies
Pet Supplied
592 Newfield Ave, StamfordI’ve been shopping at the Pet Supplied store in Stamford since it opened a few years ago. Every time that I’ve been there I have had an excellent experience: Outstanding customer service, helpful, polite, caring towards my pups, all my questions answered, and they take time to help me find all the products that I’m looking for. If a product is not at the store they will order it.And so my last visit was no difference! I had the pleasure of meeting Gabriella who is absolutely amazing and has truly has EXCEPTIONAL customer service skills! ? I’m very thankful that she took time to help me with my purchase and find all the things that I needed. I truly had an excellent experience from beginning to end as Gabriella truly went above and beyond and went the extra mile for me! Thank You! ☺️

Parrots & Company
61 Crescent St, StamfordAbsolutely the best bird store in a 20 mile radius. Birds were happy and young, clearly well taken care of. The owner was there and so helpful. We are getting an English Budgie (bread by the owner, kept in the “nursery” and hand/fed until ready) and so excited!!

Safari Stan's Pet Center
633 Hope St, StamfordLet me start off with...the store was super clean. Victoria was very knowledgeable, friendly and made the process very easy. She answered all my email questions promptly, prior to visiting the store and while I was there. She was running the whole store the day I went in, acknowledging everyone that came into the store. She genuinely cared about the wellbeing of all the pets..nice to see that.Thank you so much Victoria.Patti Charette

The Fish Bowl
1013 Hope St, StamfordFor all looking for an ethical fish store this is the one. They truly care about the animals and what homes they are going to. Under the new ownership you can even see pictures of the nitrogen cycle at the cash register for people who may not be informed of cycling the tank before getting fish. I have always gone to this location due to convenience, while before it wasn’t to much better than petco or petsmart to me, this new management truly cares about the animals and the customer and it shows. The fresh water plant selection is the best your gonna get, for in store pickup plants. The fish selection grows each week as the store expands! Not only that but they have put in a filtration system for the betta’s which is heart warming for a person who is a big believer in the 5 gal min, heater, and good filtration. They give honest advice that clearly comes from experience and don’t just try to just sell you fish. Their fish food is great quality as well. None of the items are overpriced and honestly the most affordable for miles! This is a must stop fish store coming from someone with 3 fresh and 1 salt tank!

Groom To Bloom Dog Salon
875 Cove Rd, StamfordI’ve been taking my dog to Maribel from groom to bloom since they opened and I have never looked back! I recommend her to all my friends and their pups because of the service and their expertise! Everyone there is so good and sweet to my dog and each time he gets groomed he comes out even more handsome each time. For a few months I took my dog elsewhere to get groomed because of proximity issues and when I started taking him back to Groom to Bloom Maribel alerted me that my dog had become scared of getting a bath and that stemmed from him being mistreated and being sprayed with cold water from the place I had been taking him. I have never looked back since! No matter the distance, the way they take care of my dog and the service is well worth it! Each and every one of their staff is friendly and experienced. I never have to worry about who’s grooming my dog because everyone is so gentle and experienced. They also are well equipped in dealing with anxious dogs who don’t like getting groomed which is a plus! My pup after going elsewhere hated getting groomed but since he’s been back at groom to bloom he isn’t scared! I don’t trust anyone else to groom my pup than groom to bloom and am thankful for each and everyone part of the groom to bloom staff!

Cornell University Veterinary Specialists
880 Canal St, StamfordWe had a great experience. The wait time was minimal, and our intake tech was engaging and gentle with Felix. Dr. Flynn was patient and informative. We left with a greater understanding of Felix's condition than we had before. We had minimal waiting time, and Dr. Flynn was generous with her time. She encouraged us to ask questions, and explained Felix's condition in a way that was easy to understand.

868 High Ridge Rd, StamfordI am so sad to be moving away from this office.I am so thankful for the exceptional care they've provided to my furry family over the past two years. Spot On Veterinary Hospital & Hotel
184 Selleck St, StamfordI came to Spot On in one of the worst circumstances possible. My increasingly lethargic Tibetan Terrier collapsed at a road stop while we were on a trip from Pittsburgh to Maine. Spot on took us right away, and although the outcome wasn't what I wished for, I was met with clinical expertise and compassion. All of this happened to me on my very first visit. Dr. Putter and his staff will always be etched in my memory as the angels who helped me withstand the incredible pain of letting go of my precious Henry Rinpoche.

K9 Strategies
113 Houston Terrace, StamfordAfter 2 sessions my dog Pepper has done a 180, from being bratty and doing what she wants, to now listening and respecting me more as her leader. I am learning a lot too as Mike provides great training tips and demonstrates exactly how it’s done. There is still more training to do but I am happy to have reached out to Mike for help because it is just what Pepper and I needed. :)

203K9 Training Service, LLC.
351 Courtland Ave, StamfordI sent my dog George to 203k9 for a 4 week board and train and could not be happier with the results! George learned new skills and as a working breed now has a job to perform which is helping with his confidence and obedience. The work Scotty put in with George shows! Prior to sending George to 203k9 we couldn’t take him on walks because he would pull and bark and chase anything he saw. Now I can walk him OFF LEASH and know he will respond to commands and continue to work through the distractions we encounter. Scotty was an amazing trainer and set both George and I up for success. I couldn’t recommend them enough and can’t wait to continue George’s training with them and joining their pack walks!

All Pets Crematory and Remembrance
120 Myrtle Ave, StamfordMany people can say their "pet" was special, but very few actually had the kind of bond me my Paula Jade had. We were like soal mates from day 1. When we met, adopting a cat was far from my mind especially a random black stray, but there was something different about her as if she were sent to me on purpose.
I had to put Paula Jade to sleep Mothers Day Weekend. It was so freaking hard for me. Over a month later i still feel a tremendous loss, one ive never felt before even with actual family members passing. I am crying sitting here writing this. This is to give you an idea of the inpact Paula Jade made on my life and how badly shes missed.
With that said it should be noted i wouldnt expect anything less for her funeral. I spent time researching creamation services. I live in Long Island NY and felt as if this place was worth my drive all the way to Conneticut after i done so and spoke to the owner on the phone.
WELL WORTH IT.
I also had the oppurtinity to drive my baby to Conneticut where she never been right before she was creamated which to me made it even more beautiful and something to remember.
Please give this place a shot they are very caring and do good work... PROPER work. Not like some of those places on Long Island that lie to you.

Pets a Go Go LLC
119 Research Dr, StamfordWe've been sending our dog Lucy to Petsagogo in Briarcliff for years. Over the last year our dog has faced some serious medical issues, and we are so thrilled that Stamford offers private rooms for boarding. We just left Lucy for a week for the first time in over a year, and she could not have had better care during her stay. The staff were attentive to her every need - from individual playtime to medicine dispersement to meals, etc. She came back healthy, happy and rested. We are so thankful to have a place we can trust our sweet (but medically fragile) girl with and are so grateful to Nicole and her team for taking the extra care needed to keep her safe and healthy.

Wagmore
37 Cherry St, StamfordOur dog LOVES going to Wagmore! The minute she sees me switch from her bandana to her collar she knows exactly where she is going and drags me right to the car! We have been sending her there for two years and cannot say enough great things about the staff and facilities. Our dog is iffy with strangers and new places but sees Wagmore as a completely safe space for her! Thank you for all you do ??

Ponus Yacht Club Inc
41 Bateman Way, StamfordOur friends are members of the Ponus Yacht Club so we get to enjoy mooching off of their success (joke). We've visited the club a few times and totally understand why they have a membership. With affordable beer pricing, outstanding dining, and easy access to the dock, we too have thought about buying a boat and joining the club (if we ever moved back to the area). The parking lot is a bit of an eye sore and the building in general could use an update. However, everything is clean and well maintained. The back porch is cozy and perfect to chill out on during warm summer days. Our friends had their boat docked so that we could cruise the sound during the fireworks show which was really nice. You can see Manhattan from afar on a clear day which is fun. Docking was fairly easy but it seemed like some people weren't following the rules of how to park their vessels or creating wakes in a no-wake zone. We had an early dinner at the club and I ordered the Poke Bowl. The food was so fresh and tasted amazing! Service was great, very friendly staff here. We can't wait to come back to see our friends again and relax at Ponus, it's a great visit for sure!

Shiro Dessert
172 Bedford St, StamfordThis is THE place to go in the summer if you live in the area.
The thing to get is the bingsu and the waffle - which are their specialities. The bingsu is heavenly - very light and sweet with a bunch of different toppings. I highly recommend the mango version.
The waffle was also delicious. Cooked very well - a bit of crunch but soft and chewy on the inside, with your choice of ice cream in the center.
Overall, this place is totally worth a try if you're in the area on a hot day! There's a lot of space inside too for seating

Beer Garden at Shippan Landing
290 Harbor Dr, StamfordI hosted at 50th Birthday at Shippan last weekend. From my first email the staff were responsive and really helpful for planning. The food from their catering menu was fantastic and we got so much more than what was expected. The staff was incredibly friendly and a pleasure to work with. They have a great selection of beers on tap, and plenty of other non-beer options that caters to everyone's tastes. The band they had later in the evening was fantastic as well. If you're looking to host a gathering I would highly recommend Shippan, you will not be disappointed.

Winfield Street Coffee
96 Broad St, Stamfordthis place is ALWAYS FULL but today we were lucky and finally got a table lfgggg this was my first time trying this place but my nerdy friends always come here to study and I finally decided it would be a good decision to come after hearing about how much aaron schrag loves this place. aaron schrag was my business math teacher my senior year of high school and it was my favorite class and now I get to call him by his full name bc he is no longer my teacher. I don't know if we are on the level of friendship yet that allows me to call him by his nickname, AJ. but for now, Aaron schrag will suffice. ok anyway I got a bec and u can never forget the bev neva eva eva so I got a caramel macchiato which was way cheaper than expected since almost all of these coffee shops downtown are soooo pricey. so we sat down at a BOOTH how great is that this place is always full and we were lucky enough to snag a booth. and listen to this, I ordered at the counter and my friend kaitlyn gray ordered and the kiosk and then my friend rim ordered at the counter after both of us and Kaitlyn was still the last one to get her order. no complaints on my side tho I just wanted to point that out. the booth tables have games like jenga and a card game to play with ur friends which I think is so fun whoever came up with that, I applaud you. also there r dog treats for customers who come in with dogs which I think is so cute. ok anyway the food was so beautiful u will see the pics I attach when I'm done writing this omg bro if I could have a crush on a food, this would be it. it was very delicious. the bacon was pretty salty tho...... but it was very crispy so if ur into that, get the bec. also the macchiato although an average thing to see on a menu, you could tell by the well-balanced acidity, bitterness, sweetness, and mouthfeel combined with a dreamy aroma that they take their time in making the coffee here good. this place is also located right next to the library so that's perfect if u wanna do some book shopping and my friend kaitlyn gray wanted me to include this because she is happy she got to see all the CDs for sale. thanks aaron schrag for putting me on and thanks Winfield for starting my day off with a beautiful breakfast.
