By far the worst banking experience ever experience for five minutes, went to go, cash and official check issued by M&T and was gave the runaround. The teller who was conveniently finishing her peanut butter on her spoon, gave me every excuse under the sun.
And proceeded to discuss in Spanish the transaction with the other teller which I fully understood.

Contacted bank to inquire about a deposit. Was told I could not make a deposit into someone else's account with their account number and/or without being on the account. I did not want a receipt or any balance information. Contacted 2 other branches who completely welcomed the deposit with no issues. Poor customer service at Bedford Street branch and total lack of knowledge. Do better, please!

M&T is the worse banking experience I've had in my lifetime. On pretty much all levels the service is miserable, long waits in person, a mediocre online interface and app, and with few exceptions you get the sense they feel that are doing you a favor in every interaction. I didn't choose M&T but became a customer when People's was bought out. I closed one account shortly after the transition and expect to close my last account there in the near future.

Horrible service. Manager or supervisor (female) very rude and unprofessional to customer. It was my first time at this location and I witnessed how they brushed off a regular client because they didn’t speak Spanish. Then proceeded to be very nasty to me and have a very condescending tone and trying to intimidate me. Overall very disgusting service not from the tellers but the Lady in charge. Wouldn't recommend don’t waste your time at this location. There’s a reason why they’re always hiring

Honestly this is the worst bank. I’m speaking of just this location I haven’t been to many. They will take at least 50 minutes to do a transaction. I’m not exaggerating. I get here it takes 20 minutes to even acknowledge me, and I’m the only one here. If you have nothing to do and time to waste do your business here. I do not recommend.

The worst bank ever!! The problem is not the branch, the problem is the institution itself. What a mess. They have no auto call center, to learn your balance they ask for everything. The bank app is a mess as well, to open an account we had to go 10 times in 3 weeks to rectify papers and screw ups from their own people. I have several bank accounts with different banks and even Bank of america is better and I thought that was the worst bank ever
