DO NOT USE. We hired O'Neill and Sons Moving, Inc., from a reference we got from our old neighbor for 2 moves. For $36,000 we paid them, furniture was damaged, items were broken and our belonging missing. O'Neill sent someone to "repair" furniture but, couldn't fix stains, hinges and could only fill gouges in bed with wood filler and just stained ripped wood on other areas of bed. REFUSED to pay for items that were missing.

I got an estimate and then paid double because they sent inexperienced movers who took 2 hours to just put together bed frames.The movers couldn't get my grandfather clock set up properly and told me someone would call me the next day. That never happened and I had to call the company twice before getting a call back. I then complained about the time it took for the move and was told by the owner she would talk to the movers and get back to me. That never happened. I was extremely disappointed with the service and would not recommend this company to anyone.

“Chris was great to work with from start to finish. He and his colleague showed up on time (a little early!) to move my one bedroom apartment into a Pod for a cross country move. They were friendly, worked hard, and careful with my belongings… even though it may have been a smaller job for them. I’m a senior and appreciated their fair rates and friendliness. No surprise costs. I’d hire them again. Highly recommend.”

After a very positive experience with this company a few years ago, I hired them a second time recently when the need arose again, in spite of them having given me a higher quote than another local company.This time around, virtually every aspect of the move had serious problems--from packing day, to moving day, to the weeks after the move.The guys who did the packing were careless in every regard: they took my desk drawers and dumped them upside down into boxes, including carefully organized folders of paperwork. A closet of silk neck ties was dumped into boxes and I found them in twisted, knotted balls like strings of Christmas lights. Lampshades were put in the bottom of boxes, and then stuff was crammed in on top, crushing the lamp shades. Countless pictures frames were broken because they simply were not wrapped, but just tossed into boxes. Many boxes were completely mislabeled, or not labeled at all. More of the ones that were labeled were put in the wrong place than in the right one. I spent weeks relocating things. They took apart a grandfather clock that I have had since 1986 and was still working the morning of packing. When they put it back together (sort of), they put the chains for the weights back in backwards, and the clock has not worked since.Every single stick of furniture, every picture, virtually everything was labeled indicating where it was to go in the new house. By and large, these labels were totally ignored. The movers refused to follow any directions whatsoever. The first night in the new home, I could not find any of the contents of my master bedroom. It took days before I found them in unlabeled boxes on the bottom of a pile in the basement.The LOST my printer and the wooden stand it was on in my office, a box of paper that I packed myself and labeled "Important," and my framed professional credentials from my wall. The owner, Patti, has refused to accept any responsibility for this whatsoever, even after coming here herself to look for the items. In fact, she has made zero real good faith effort to make to make right any of the things that went wrong. In large part, she has turned every thing into my fault, blaming me for not moving things that were important by myself.They broke the wooden frame of a brand new leather couch with side recliners.They broke two of four glass shelves from a wooden curio cabinet in my office. While this is one of the few things Patti promised to replace for me, she did not. It's been six weeks since my move now, and there has been no actual follow-thru. Last week, I emailed her a very reasonable settlement proposal, which she refused. When she missed a third promised day to deliver the glass shelves yesterday, I emailed her again--no reply. Now there's just crickets...

Patti and her team at O’Neills Movers were amazing from beginning to end. In fact, we’re so impressed they just left and we felt obligated to leave this review before we even started unpacking. From beginning to end they were extremely responsive and communicative with us. We moved from Stamford to Florida and spoke to 3 moving companies but right after meeting with Matt we knew we should use Oneills. They took such good care of all of our stuff and nothing broke the whole trip. They were quick and extremely efficient with the move in and move out. I wouldn’t even look anywhere else if you need movers, just contact O’Neill’s and they’ll take care of the rest.

A family owned busy &I have only good things to say from packing and delivery. Chris, Otis,Zach & the rest of their crew were on time, diligent and managed to change locations for me at the last minute. Very professional & highly responsible. Saw one of their trucks in town with a "**** joe Biden" bumper sticker. Regardless of one's political views I'd hate my 8 yo to be reading it. Got to wonder the wisdom of that message on a commercial vehicle.

The BEST movers EVER. We have used O’Neill and Sons 10+ times... everything from small moves in house, moving into storage, moving to a new house and even a Saturday morning auction pick up! We recently made a move from Stamford to Rochester, NY with two location stops utilized in Rochester. Both the pick up and delivery went as smoothly as we had hoped. The young men on both the front end and back end of our delivery were professional, courteous and respectful of our property. Extremely professional and very good to work with. No breakage and a thoughtful staff, anxious to please. The firm is customer orientated. From artworks to antiques and china there are no worries. Have hired them for both local and long distance. Excellent value.
