I need one dress repaired and another altered. I have been calling this business during posted business hours for two weeks. The phone either rings endlessly or a recording says the voicemail is full. So I decided to go to the business during their posted hours with the understanding that I may have to make an appointment to return for my alterations. Unfortunately, I waited 15 minutes past opening hours and no one ever showed up. This business is very unprofessional and unreliable. In the end, I'm relieved I wasn't able to leave my garments with them, because who knows if I would have been able to get them back.

SO happy I found this place! I got married in November of 2023 and the first seamstress I went to ruined the bustle of my wedding gown. I came to Macriz and the owner fixed it just in time (three weeks before my wedding)! It was absolutely beautiful and showed off all the lace.

I needed a dress for a formal affair made a bit bigger and at the last minute- I was blown away with the level of service here. She worked really hard to find a piece of fabric that could be added to the dress. It was AMAZING!!!!

The wedding dress/tailoring space is as critical as a DOD spec. Heaven forbid a seam is dropped 0.001 inch off spec. I threw Maria at Macriz a curve and asked if she would stitch a museum display case cover for me. No one in Fairfield county or Westchester would take a crack at it but she simply asked for the material and dimensions in a very confident and soft tone of voice. Her shop was closed due to the virus scare but a colleague of hers was kind enough to let me in their unassuming shop. The cover was promised and delivered on the next day and was exactly on spec. Really superb sewing and well over and beyond what I thought I settled for in view of the price Maria negotiated. Frankly, I should have paid double for the quality of the work product so I'm paying it forward here. I would send Maria repeat business and offer you one bit of advice; The more you know about what's possible and what's not, the happier you'll be with the end result. In my case, Maria went above and beyond with finished flat stitch lines that absolutely wowed me.

Macriz was recommended to me by my coworker after i needed a dress altered for a wedding back in May (wedding was in June). I went over, she was very nice and professional, and the work was perfect. I have another wedding in FIVE DAYS and after falling in love with a different dress, if i had any chance of wearing it to the wedding i was hoping she would work a miracle and have it into me by then. When i told her that i really really hoped she could rush it for me, she didnt seemed troubled at all and said she would get it to me in THREE DAYS, even though her other coworker said they had a big job to do. I felt really bad and said id pay whatever rush fee there was!! She waved me off and said she'd get it to me by Friday with a smile. I will definitely be recommending her to everyone! I found my new forever seamstress. Thank you Macriz!!!

Wonderful, fast and great work done by Maria. I had to have a few alterations for my wedding dress and Maria listened and took the time to listen and was able to turn everything around in less than a week - so great!

Took my jean skirt here because it was huge at the waist but perfect around my hips and she did a wonderful job! So happy I didn't return it and took it to get altered instead. The lines were perfect and it fit like a glove afterwards! Definitely coming back to her for all of my alterations.
