Elizabeth did not have to lift a finger for us in over 3 years. My policies were transferred to her from another agent when I lived in a different state. I had to ask a lot of questions to ensure we had the appropriate coverage, whereas my prior agent was proactive in educating me and ensuring I had the necessary coverage.
After 3 years with Farmers coverage in CT and no claims, my car was unfortunately stolen during a weekend road trip to Montreal QC. It was recovered by the police and towed to an impound lot by the time I found out. I contacted Liz for support and she was unhelpful, advising me to call claims. This was before 2pm EST on a Friday and no one at Farmers could really help me. I was told it would be at least 2 business days before an adjuster could look at the car which was sitting in impound, and to leave the car there until an adjuster could get to it. I had to find another way back home to Stamford CT. No one at Farmers offered any kind of support as we were on a road trip and would now essentially be stranded. I pointed this out to one do the representatives I spoke with over the weekend who had no response.
The claims team vastly mishandled this case and each time I contacted Liz for support, she was not only unhelpful, but her responses were condescending and led to my further frustration. It took over a month for my car to be towed back to CT (rental car coverage is available for only one month) which likely would have taken longer if I had not followed up every 2 days, contacted the impound lot myself, and eventually filed a complaint with the commissioner. Upon receipt of my car’s extremely delayed arrival, the service shop informed that it was most likely totaled due to the parts stolen and damage to the interior and exterior. Farmer’s had estimated repairs would cost $1,300 which was clearly a vast underestimate.
At any part through this process, if Liz or anyone at Farmers had been diligent or even helpful, this could have gone much more smoothly and saved me a lot of stress and time, and saved Farmers a lot of money.

I have been dealing with Liz Tarantino for over 40 years and she is most helpful and so knowledgeable in all aspects of all types of insurance. It is always a pleasure to work with her whether it be over the phone or in her office.

She don’t even deserve a Star. The best way to describe this is a Scam. Unless you pay like 2k monthly you won’t get well treated. it doesn’t matter if you get in to an accident. They don’t care
