For a single mom with 3 teenagers on a budget: ShopRite is the place for my family. They have great prices, fresh produce, and really helpful staff. There is a Stop & Shop by our house (less than 5 mins but we drive 15 to 20 mins to Southington because it works best and my money goes further. Definitely recommend this place to smart consumers who want the best but do not necessarily want to pay an arm and a leg for it!

Usually I goto Southbury, but stopped here. I would not recommend it. Signage is incorrect and coupons don’t load. It took forever to fix and one employee was rude.

Driving from NJ to Vermont stopped for some Groceries. After I left I realized my favorite headphones were missing. I called and was quickly connected to Jayden at the courtesy desk. To my surprise and delight, Jayden had my headphones and said he would leave them with a note saying hold for "Alan". I returned a week later and the woman working at the courtesy desk was expecting me. She knew my name as soon as I mentioned headphones. Apparently, I left the phones in my cart. Store definitely has good employees who care about their customers. Was a very good experience!

This was my first time using the pickup at this location. I'm very disappointed. I arrived within my pickup time slot. No signage to help find the parking spots and I had to ask an employee who half heartedly pointed down the street. So I finally found a spot and checked in. 30 minutes later I'm still waiting and no activity in the pickup station. I went to inquire and got attitude. 15 minutes later they bring it to me and shove the cart at me and say here ya go. I guess they were having a really bad day.

Compared to my other local Shoprite the items I shop for are available and prices are the same. I got a red velvet cheesecake slice from the bakery $5.99 (in photo) it was not something I'll ever buy again. The cake was dry & crumbly and the cheesecake was eh. As for customer service Southington is really lacking. My most recent visit I was in the meat department looking for a whole chicken that was not Perdue. I asked the worker who said "they should be over there, did you look?" I responded "Yes I did, that's why I'm asking you" he then said "oh you're one of those" (extremely uncalled for) and walked to the Perdue chickens pointed at them and walked away. I found a completely different brand of chicken in the section with the turkey that he apparently didn't know about. I normally go to self checkout anytime it's an option but the line was longer than at the registers so I went to the shortest lane, my cashier was fast and I really appreciate that. He didn't offer to bag which is fine since half the time the cashiers don't know how to anyway. Overall I prefer my other local Shoprite and unless I'm in Southington I'm going to avoid this store.

While traveling from Massachusetts to Pennsylvania I was asked to stop in Connecticut and pick up Hummels hot dogs for a friend. This store was easy to get to from I84 so I called to see if they had the hot dogs in stock. Gabe in the meat department went above and beyond for me, checking for the product, telling me the price, and even holding some until I got there. Thanks, Gabe, for the excellent customer service! I appreciate you.

Update. I was told I was going to get a call for the 800 numbers manager and never did it's been almost 2 weeksHorrible customer service always an issue with ShopRite from home none of my promotions came off was told to call the 800 number and 800 number said I have to wait till tomorrow and hopefully they can do something about it

Worked here for months and plan on returning back. Had been shopping here for years prior. Overall great. Have had a few problems with expiration dates (but that goes for ever shop)
