“I want to give a shout out to Tony, the produce manager at the Southington Price Chopper. That grocery store is the only one that sells seeded watermelon, which is a summer favorite of mine. They require you to buy the whole watermelon, which is not a problem for me. What is a problem is that I am 71 years old and can not carry a whole watermelon to my car and then into my house. I called up before I arrived at Price Chopper and asked if they could cut the watermelon into 4 pieces for me and wrap each piece individually so I would be able to carry them into my house more easily. Tony told me yes! When I got to the Southington Price Chopper Tony had chosen a watermelon for me, cut it, and had already wrapped each piece for me! He was so kind! I really appreciate his doing that for me. Wonderful customer service!! And the watermelon was wonderful too!! Thank you Tony!!Marcia Diephouse”

“How can a grocery store really be reviewed? Well in my experience, most grocery stores leave me feeling rushed, crowded, searching for items with not much assistance. I will admit the recent remodel has thrown me a massive curveball and I'm left searching for items I no longer know where they are, but.. the staff is wonderful, the store is fully stocked and exceptionally clean. Yes the deli counter is a long wait, but the employees are polite and patient. There is an abundance of self checkout stations that keep the lines moving.”
