I had never moved with professional movers before, although I had heard many horror stories. But I got a good feel from the moment they picked up the phone. Being the first one I contacted who did local, not long distance only, was a great start. When the crew arrived at 8:45 (original target time was between 8:30 and 9:00 so right on the money), things just kept getting better from there. The three guys, Max, Matt and JoJo, were professional, considerate and careful with everything. None were afraid to ask for clarification or direction, and all three were fabulous. They worked hard, and very were thorough; reassembling what they needed to disassemble, willing to accommodate us with placing items in their respective rooms, and insuring the furniture was right where we wanted it. Pricing was fair, and well worth it in the end. Great job, more than a fair price, and very satisfied.

If I could give less than one star because that's way too much totally unprofessional showed up four hours late didn't wanna move anything moved a few items what they felt like moving made all kind excuses why they couldn't do this and why they couldn't do that charge me for four hours say barely work 45 minutes and then sat in the truck for a half hour no communication wise guys I can't say enough there's nothing good that they did broke broke stuff don't care knock stuff over don't care and their boss will leave them not us so if you think you should get them to move them I wouldn't have you move a dog crate those unprofessional people I ever dealt with Also charge for four hours and it was I was only three they showed up at 3:45 and they were gone by 6:45 so these guys this bunch of rip offs didn't even move everything into the house just left it outside so I wouldn't recommend the worst they are the bottom I don't know how they stay in business

This place is a find! The have lots of nice used furniture and the prices are reasonable. You may need to dig around in the back but it is worth it for the right piece.

Had an excellent experience with the four men who helped me move into my new place!!! I didn't have time to pack because I was traveling and they packed and moved my entire place. No complaints, no bad vibes... worked their asses off in the heat and deserve a raise because everything they moved was so heavy! Def would use McCabes again and am totally happy with the service, price, quality and experience!

I bought furniture at McCabes many times! Each time was a wonderful experience.. The sweet girl Jennifer that works there was so helpful and kind. She was very patient with my many questions . The furniture is of very good quality . I get many compliments on them . The movers are very kind also. Helped in any way they could when delivered the furniture. When I do move it will be these kind people to do the job. Thank you for your kindness !wonderful experience! Barbara

This is actually a zero rating. I booked my move in June and requested that upholstered furniture be shrink wrapped in plastic. (To prevent any spread of bedbugs). I received a confirming email that of course wrapping would add time, but yes, items would be wrapped. The afternoon before my July 15th move i called the office to remind them about the plastic wrap and was told that “we don’t have plastic— we don’t do that.” Long story short i responded loudly and strongly (but n

Thank God i found another mover .... most movers shrink wrap -- and moved the next afternoon. Moral-- if plastic is important to you to protect your mattress / upholstered furniture, do not use McCabes. Even if they assure you in writing that items will be wrapped. They wrap in blankets. And they dont care about their commitment to your move.

Could not have been happier about the way Trevor and his crew executed our move. They worked hard, took extremely good care of our furniture and were very careful in the process of moving. They took away a great deal of stress in the moving process.

McCabe's moved furniture for us within the city of Bristol in July, and this past Monday, August 12, they moved furniture to New Hampshire from Bristol. We are totally satisfied, and highly recommend them. We had different workers each time, and they all were polite, prompt, cheerful, and skilled movers. The office people were easy to work with and accurately described the process. Big thumbs up, and definitely a 10 out of 10!

Moved just 7 miles away and had Mccabe's Moving do the job at a reasonable price. The crew: Scott, Tyler and Nate were efficient yet careful of my stuff. I had a couple of options to choose from but I felt comfortable after talking to the receptionist. She was very helpful, that made all the difference to me and I will definitely use this business again for my moving needs. Highly recommend them!

I would love to share my experience today using McCabe Movers in Southington! First of all, the heat was brutal. A team of four guys arrived early to begin a huge move of many heavy boxes, a cellar, work shed, garage and 8 rooms. They were polite and began by explaining exactly what they were going to do so we would know. My husband mostly worked with them as I was not feeling well but I was on hand for questions.
