I absolutely LOVE this salon ! Great atmosphere, very professional and friendly staff. I had my first appointment here today for a root touch up and a keratin treatment with Lindsay. Absolutely love how my hair looks and feels ! If I could give this salon 10 stars I would !

I booked an appointment for a wash and blowdry (no hot tools) for 6:30pm with Allyson as a first time client. I was running a little late and tried to call to let someone know I’d be there at around 6:38-6:39 based on what my GPS was saying, but no one answered. I pulled into the salon at 6:39, walked in the door at 6:40-6:41. Before I even said a word I didn’t feel welcome. The 2 girls I first saw were rude, didn’t make eye contact and barely said hello. Thankfully they have a dog there who does make you feel welcome. I said hi and I apologized for being late and said I had a 6:30 appointment. Allyson came out and told me she didn’t have time for me. I was hoping she was going to say because she had another client, but turns out that wasn’t the case. I had just driven from Bristol to Plantsville. I said why didn’t you call me earlier? She said she was “just about to.” And that “a wash and blow dry takes 30 minutes and she leaves at 7.” She would have been there maybe 10 minutes after 7 if she took me. I told her she should have called me at 6:35 if this was the case instead of waiting until I walked in the door. She said she “gives clients a 10 minute window.” But that’s clearly not true because I was there in the 10 minute window. I hate people being late as much as the next person, and I apologized for that but to have no wiggle room and not call 2 minutes after 6:30 if you’re set on leaving right at 7 is so disrespectful to someone else’s time. No one I came in contact with there was kind or welcoming, and what a ridiculous thing to do to wait until someone shows up to tell them you don’t have time for them. Would never recommend.

My kids and I love going there for haircuts. The owner is wonderful, accommodating and flexible. Her dogs are also great to be around. Just a friendly, calm atmosphere and you don't feel rushed.

I have always had a great experience with Megan. She has been doing my hair for many years & she always knows exactly what to do!I never have to worry about how my hair will turn out because she is takes her time, and she also cares about the integrity of my hair.The salon is very well kept, friendly and is super cute inside! Highly recommend.

January 2021 - I made an appointment for a haircut at Jillian & Company at the direct referral from my sister. My hair was extremely long, and I wanted to get at least half a foot cut off. The hairdresser washed my hair and cut & styled it, while complaining that my hair was so thick and long that it was going to take her forever. And she said to me verbatim, "When someone like you (with your length hair) comes in to get a hair cut, I know it's going to be a long day." I was kind of taken back by this, but she couldn't tell because we had to wear masks.I'm a really easy to please--I don't get haircuts that often and never really want anything special or fancy done. And I rarely leave a review like this. The absolute WORST thing the hairdresser did was INSTEAD OF BLOW DRYING my WET HAIR, she took a flat iron and STRAIGHTENED MY WET HAIR!!!I didn't ask her to do this, she didn't ask me if this was okay beforehand. She was starting to rush and lose patience, and instead of blow drying my hair like you should, she literally cooked my beautiful long hair.It has been almost 2 years since my experience at Jillian & Company, and my naturally wavy hair has still not recovered from this heinous act of unprofessionalism. Nevermind that I was charged over $150 for a simple haircut.I ACTIVELY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.Service: Haircut

I saw Brianna here and she saved my hair! I came to her with a very tough task after having my destroyed by another salon. Im talking a level 10 dyed brown dyed again with Wella level 4 dye with a ton of breakage and damage. She did test strands to check the integrity of my hair before using any lightening agents on it and we decided against doing so because it melted HAH. She then fixed my roots and even was happy to re-do they again after I made the mistake of picking a too light shade (against her initial recommendation lol!).I went a second time and she did a super fun cut and listened to exactly what I wanted! They sell a lot of cute hair accessories and a ton of products here too. I’m sad I moved across the country because this salon is awesome and super affordable too!Services: Haircut

I’ve been going to Jillian and Company (Ally) for the last 3 years. The salon is clean and has an amazing vibe that welcomes all. My stylist, Ally, is a hair goddess. My hair has NEVER looked better. She’s hardworking, honest, and a true artist. I get regular balayages and all of the maintenance that goes along with them. Random people on the street compliment my hair, and I’ve never felt so confident. My hair is healthy and long. I’ve never been able to grow it out to the length it is now. Let alone in a healthy condition! She’s extremely knowledgeable about products and whenever I’m shopping for something new she can give me great suggestions. She continues her hair education, and is never pushy with sales of products. Ally has also accommodated late Saturday appointments for me, and as someone who works insane hours, this is essential and appreciated. Ally also has an amazing memory. Sitting in her chair makes you feel like you never left because she remembers exactly what you discussed last time you were there. I also have to compliment her skills with curly hair. My hair is super thick, wavy, and can get very triangle-looking very quick. She knows exactly how to cut in a way that compliments my curls. Thank you for making me feel like a hair model every day!

I believe a salon should be equipped and ‘able’ to work on any and all types of hair. We don’t live in a homogeneous society! I went for wash, blow dry and flat iron for my daughter’s hair. The hairdresser was not happy about how matted the hair was. She was also very candid about not being able to deal with textured or “ethnic” hair, and on top of that, requested not to set up an appointment with her again.. 2.5 hours and $90 later, we got 2 messy Dutch braids. What a waste of time and money!
